You want to decertify with a merger in progress with another ALPA pilot group? That seems like a dangerous waste of time.

Yeah I suppose that would. I was thinking more along the lines of both legacy xjt and asa voting them out to try and merge with skywest. I know the chances would be slim to vote them out. But honestly, how has any regional union actually helped out any pilot group. Every regional pilot should be being paid much more than we are now

Skywest can flip and flop pay rates at they please with their pilot group. Union may seem like its a drag on things but the processes make sense per the RLA. And if you have to deal with Feds or Management you can get some sort of representation and backup. Yes i agree unions seem like they slow down the processes but i rather have a slow negotiation and get it right v. not having representation. Also who has been hired more at majors? Union pilots....look at skyw attrition v. xjt/asa attrition to the majors. Proof is in the pudding.

I don't know man. That sounds like a bold method.
