Lord have mercy, check Brads update. The Embraer's sales team is flying in the E175 to ATL on the 15th to show it off to the company, test flight and all. Employees invited. The picture is starting to get clearer with the large rj rates for l-xjt

One rumor I did hear was Republic got the first round of Eagle flying because AMR wanted the E175 only, and it was impossible for SKYW to meet the time frame with a new fleet type.

Can you elaborate? I was just informed that everyone in the pool needs ATP minimums before starting a class. Does anyone know if or when the ATP exemptions of 1000tt/750tt for aviation universities and military will become official? I understand the law is passed and begins in August, and it's up to the FAA to establish the criteria for an ATP. It's February and I haven't heard a thing.

Over the past year, in particular, our efforts to run a higher quality, more efficient operation while addressing wasteful spending in our back-end processes, have improved our operational reliability tremendously, and the hard work continues to help work our way toward profitability... We have some more work ahead of us to truly be competitive with carriers that have younger fleets and less experienced staff, but I know we will get there by working together. Gaining joint collective bargaining agreements across all five of our represented labor groups will certainly play a significant role in that, but so will continuing to be diligent about building quality into every aspect of what we do.

Pure speculation...but my guess is next round of Eagle flying in E175s goes to Compass...between 15-30 airplanes. For now I keep swimming in the hiring pool for XJT.

If so, I'm guessing they will use them as a bargaining chip. I'm also guessing we wont see them until a TA.

jeppsen is getting rid of paper going electronic. So why negotiate by giving something up to get ipad's when the company is going to have to do it since there will be no more paper jepps.
