So got offered a position with XJT to leave a dieing regional. I guess the new process now on equipment assignment is everyone goes to IAH for Indoc and then pref bids are made for equipment? At least that's what I was told. So all erj and crj peeps together next month then split up according to awards. Anyone have more insight to that?

Yeah. Just got the same call. I was slated for CRJ, now it looks like it could go either way.

Was also told the new contract is close to going up for vote and pay will probably be significantly increased for first year FOs. I'm assuming this also means a merged seniority list also?

For basics, maybe. Think summary of the Cliff Notes. You need to read the book and, as I am currently discovering, preferably more than once.

From what I've been told, that is correct. You will bid according to the needs of the company and your seniority in class. Could be all ERJ or all CRJ or (most likely) some of both.

Vacancy Bid Award is out. Looks like most junior CRJ CA upgrade is 12/2006 hire. Ugh!

Hmm. Interesting new process if true. My question is which contract will you be under during indoc? Because training pay and acommodations are different between CRJ/ERJ.

That was true last week. Now it could be a long time before a TA.

You only go with planes if they are sold directly to another airline. SkyWest Inc. Just has to sell the planes to a bank or Embraer and that separates us from the planes. Then SkyWest or any other airline just has to purchase the planes from the bank/Embraer. That is how Republic got the Q400s from Colgan.

What is this guy smoking? The only place the planes are going is to Kingman, Arizona. The CPA was with Continental. No more Continental, no more CPA. Vapor!
Actually, the CPA survived the name change. I've posted the relevant sections of the CPA that said so.
