What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

So for those that thought the whole hold up was a bidding system, here ya go! Management was waiting for concession talks to start elsewhere and then trow you in the pool. Welcome to the club, the SKW boys better not get to comfy because they will get their very soon. SKW inc has to park well over 200 aircraft in the next 2 1/2 years for United and Delta to comply with SCOPE, the pilots aren't there to replace the mainline attrition so shrinkage is inevitable. Stand your ground!

If management can't compete without concessions than they need to shut the place down. It will take at least two years to wind down and we'll all have jobs by then. If their cost structure is that bad, no amount of concessions will save this place anyhow. Ask Comair.
Shut it down. Max pay to the last day.

if management wants concessions then we can start with acey days, aceypalooza, mini indy, new IT platforms every 3 months, people at the Atech who actually pick up their phones when you have a problem, turkey coupons, among friends newsletters, double management teams, surejet fiascos, "focus groups", premium pay and vacation buybacks every summer and anything related to our lack of a crew utilization department.
All they are doing is wringing a bar towel out for every last drop it can. Get a concessionary contract voted in before a pilot shortage and mass attrition so whoever comes to work here (or who is stupid enough to stay) have to deal with being away from home 17-19 days a month while making less than a fast food shift manager. Time to just say enough's enough

It's awesome that both the ASA/XJT guys are coming together and putting an end to something Pinnacle guys so willingly accepted. I believe with Eagles "no thanks" and XJT (I believe they have had enough) "No" there will hopefully be a turning point in the regional industry

Fine. Compare Southwest to anyone you want. Point is, you can pay your employees commensurate with their qualifications and experience AND make money. A fair, livable wage and profitability are not mutually exclusive. As soon as we can ALL tell management to look in the mirror next time they want to cut costs, the better off we will be. I, for one, am tired of watching this company fart away stupid amounts of money through mindless inefficiency and then they tell me I am the reason we aren't cost competitive. Just makes my blood boil.

It's gonna get ugly and we are all probably gonna see some flying transferred and maybe even some jobs lost. In the end it does us no good to give up and agree to concessions. Stand together and suck it up. It will be worth it.
