You do understand that the Pinnacle guys could have had an even crappier contract 'given' to them by the court, which would have put everyone in an even worse situation that they are now? Also, the joint contract at ASA/XJT should have been done years ago.

I believe with Eagles "no thanks" and XJT (I believe they have had enough) "No" there will hopefully be a turning point in the regional industry
I hope so, but I am not optimistic.

Cool story, they tried and the court told them to pound sand... These extreme concessions are not required, that's when Delta stepped in and said take this or WE will shut you down bypassing the court. Management would have gotten concessions out of the pilot group and they would have been deep the company wasn't going to get an even worse working conditions that what they got, I think what Delta offered would have been turned down by the court as well, hence the gun to the head. This is more than Pinnacle cost, this is about driving the whole industry down, one regional at a time.

Really, how come they told the MECs that they needed concessions to just tell them that they need time to study the parameters. The company is stalling to see what concessions US Airways is going to extract from Eagle/PSA and whomever they settle on next. It's a never ending cycle. Also having a contract means sh!t these days. Tell me a regional who has a contract that hasn't passed an amendment date. Pinnacle? Horizon? That the only regionals that come to mind. Eagle/PSA/PDT all have contracts that are less than 6 months old and are being asked for concessions. Even if you had a contract, you would have had an email read very similar to the one you got today.

That's cute.

Both sides are stalling. Not one, both. Time for a recall vote.

Haven't dug through to see if this is a repost on here, and the only time ever appropriate to repost a flight info thread that links to the pipe...

Let's tell management what we think of their proposal...

To play devil's advocate, what's wrong with that? Full pay to the end, right?

Didn't the LXJT group just cut a side deal for rate plus 2 bucks for larger aircraft? Now, they want concessions?

It just doesn't add up.

As long as JA is CEO and President of the BOD, he will never combine ASA/XJT with SKW. Forget it, end of story. He will do everything possible to isolate the airline he has spent 40 years building from the ground up at any cost, even at the expense of ASA/XJT. The negotiating is all posturing. No matter what is ever agreed upon, the final result will always be to shrink ASA/XJT out of existence and to maintain SKW.

May as well just say no and get full pay to the last day, and stop the bleeding.

That's what you are hoping for, no doubt. That way we shrink and you can personally benefit from some sort of flying shuffle. That's cute. Only problem with that is that the Delta rate reset will affect EVERYONE within Inc's house. Including you guys, over at Skywest Airlines. I hate to break it to you, but you are not immune to the woes of the industry because JA loves you so much.
