Any news on the contract? I have been hearing that the union is going to cave on dual qual. This after " it was not safe" stance. Also with the new rest rules we are going to have to work an extra 2 days per month to maintain productivity with 5 day trips. Top that off with people quitting or not showing up for class after being hired. There is only a few people in the applicant pool. The reserve list is always depleted. A lot of people are now looking elsewhere to get out of here. But yet CT thinks its all good. G.O won't be saying that anymore in the next few years....

I was told by a union insider that dual qual is a done deal, the only question is the pay. And from what I was told about what's being talked about at the table, pilots currently on the 700/900 are going to get hosed. Company wants pay banding (seniority%) like in the XJT arbitration award. Union wants to "settle" for a SKW type override. Either one will force current 700 pilots to take a pay cut. Automatic TA fail, IMO.

Don't mix up Skywest with XJT. Period. Skywest is NON-UNION. They are the winners in the latest race to the bottom.

How about dual qual with current 700 rates as the base rate and an override for 700/900 flying? Is that still a 'No' vote?

If 700/900 rates are the base, then what's the override? 700 pay + some extra?

This pay banding and seniority based pay XJT crap isn't going to work. I can't imagine that going to a vote and passing. Here comes the fear from management and our "options" for concessions again.
