Well as a Express jet captain I feel that the company is hanging in there. There are some aspects of the company that needs major changing such as getting our flights out on time and the lack of motivation in ground handling. Our management could use some fixing up but I honestly can't complain about that aspect of our company. Back to baggage handling I feel that our handlers just don't have a lot of motivation on the tarmac. Seems to take forever to load a ERJ-145 when our passenger count is light. This is just my belief of our company it will range from pilot to pilot

Our performance numbers are through the roof on both sides of the operation, especially the UAX ERJ side, you all have been consistently number ONE on the performance metrics chart day in and day out! The CRJ side has been in the top 4 amongst the DCI carriers consistently too. G7 (GoJet) has been trolling the very bottom of the DCI metrics...you get what you pay for.
Since AM and BS have taken over I, along with others, have seen some positive changes in terms of the way the operation is run, how communication is handled and more importantly they've exposed how poorly BH and CT ran the operation (at least between 2012-2014). All of these items I just mentioned combined with the fact that the airline is shrinking has allowed both sides to "right size" the operation to where we finally have the right staffing model to cover all of the flying in an efficient manner. Of course, these great performance numbers have come at a cost as the airline isn't growing (at the moment), but I feel that XJT is having to take two or three steps backward to move five (or more) steps forward in 2015.
2015 should be a landmark year for us that could either turn out very good...or very bad. Attrition should allow upgrades in significant numbers and hopefully more flying/fleet additions will really melt a lot of the ice we've been stuck in since 2010. The home page boasts of a "full throttle" pace of pilot recruiting in 2015 with two ERJ and three CRJ classes beginning in January, but that could be a flash in the pan...

I'd like to see us not focus on growth so much, and continue to focus on our metrics. It's hard for our mainline partners to not notice our performance. Let our actions speak when it comes to new CPAs and different planes. Hopefully our staffing can be maintain well enough to keep our metrics up.

While hiring is great, we need some flipping upgrades for Christ sake. And not like 10 or 20 here and there either
