Even if they stay at Pinnacle, how will they staff them? That is a problem they face now with those aircraft on property.

Yet to be seen, however the odds of it being "good for us" have risen considerably. Either Delta keeps the airplanes at 9E, or they transfer them to another CRJ operator, which would be either ASA or SKYW...or they could find an entirely new, non CRJ operator to do it, who knows.

Rumor is that XJT didn't even bid on this flying?...unconfirmed water cooler banter...but it's still clear that Delta still does not care who flies for them as long as it is for the lowest and/or near the lowest rate. I wish AW had gotten the flying as they are the highest paid RJ operators in the industry and didn't take concessions to gain said flying, but for Delta to add an entirely new DCI carrier to the mix on such short notice, one has to wonder if AW realized at the last second that they were going to end up losing out on this deal financially or if Delta started to realize they were going to be paying "too much" for AW services.

concessions for airplanes started in Kitty Hawk with the "Who gets to go first" conversation

I did not say Endeavor voted to get new planes. I fully understand what the stakes were and you all voted in a way you thought was best. That's fine.

What I said is that the current Endeavor contract started the trend to vote concessions in favor of new planes. I was specifically referring to the PSA/PDT contracts, the TA's that have shown up at Envoy, and Doug Parker's comments regarding new flying will only go to regionals who have costs "trending toward Endeavor." All of those new contracts look a whole lot like Endeavor's with low longevity caps and the like.

My point was: more airplanes on better contracts is better for everyone.

Sorry, should have been more clear.

Ha yeah I figured it out. I might be a little lazy lol. Anyways, Capt Tony, this would only be good for us if they ever put anything in writing and then the planes show up.

Is there any other CRJ operators that could do this besides SkyWest and Expressjet?

Pinnacle might be able to hang on to some of this flying for a little longer, but I have a funny feeling that our bid package is going to be late next week.
We usually have some extra capacity during the winter months equipment-wise, so don't be surprised if some of ZW's flying is backfilled by the 7 and 900 out of DTW.
