What's with you anyway? You make assumptions about others and you "swung and missed". Get off your damn high horse already. If this is what you are doing in our negotiations, maybe it is time that we look at people who are more reasonable at the table negotiating for us. Just for your information, yes I'm on the ASA side.

YES, when a cop, or teacher, or office worker, or restaurant worker, or most other blue collar workers, quit and get a new job, they go down in pay. That's actually pretty typical in the Real World. The only people who get to keep their pay longevity are trade unionists and executives.
Um........no. Not sure what rock you've been hiding under. When most of the country switches to a new job, the majority do so for more money.

Exactly my wife took three years off and then went back to work as an engineer and actually got quite a raise from where she was when she left.

So if all of these other careers are so great and they make so much more money and this job sucks so much.....Why are y'all still here? Obviously y'all have it all figured out, so maybe you should jump the fence for some of that green grass...Just a thought...

You will see unicorns jumping over rainbows before you see ALL pilots stand united......

Who said this job sucks? Tony said to compare what our FOs averaged to those careers....and we did.

I'm hearing it sucks from most LXJT pilots, and many of our pilots. So much so that I often hear from many, especially LXJT, that they would rather this place shut down and they would rather get a job at Walmart or McDonalds....Are you saying they are just being drama queens?

Yes I did. Most did back then. Not only did you pay for the job, there wasn't much of a bump after the first year. I made about 25K as a fifth year ATR FO. No reserve rules to speak of. Reserve was considered rest if you weren't flying. You could literally be called to do a nap after being on reserve for 16 hours. No cancellation pay. No rigs. No JM/Reschedule premium. Very little 401k matching. No jumpseat....Shall I go on?

We fixed a lot of that in contract 98 and yes we negotiated partial reimbursement because that polled heavy after the first TA was shot down.

Any other axes to grind?
