You think a recruiter would value a 2 year 121 pilot with 2000TT with a couple hundred of fresh TPIC because he/she was "lucky" over a 7-9 year FO at a respected carrier with 5-7000 hours of TSIC?
I know enough legacy new hires to know that's totally false. And would also, if true, show very poor judgment of said airline.

CBreezy is probably correct. Additionally, I've heard that the sweet spot for Civilian pilots is around 7000-8000 hours, so the aforementioned 2000tt lucky 121 PIC pilot doesn't really have a chance at a major yet.

Even if you do get the interview, you still have to impress them to get the job, Mainline prefers quality over quantity, so jumping regionals and spending a year or 2 at each trying to hop on the bandwagon will most likely sabotage your interview. The last thing they want to do is hire someone who will jump ship whenever a seemingly better opportunity arises. remember they are paying for your type rating and investing in you. they want to get their moneys worth...
"Time at XJT, ENY, TSA, GJ, SKW is exactly the same." I believe this to be wrong. it will be weighted at the interview...if they decide to bring you in. There IS a quality of FO at certain airlines, fyi. I've heard from multiple recruiters, they know the quality of pilot at xjt/asa is very high due to our intensive training program. that's not to say that PSA and TSA guys aren't great pilots, I'm sure there are some, but certain airlines are respected and regarded higher than others...and that does make some difference, such as military is weighted more than civilian...(which makes no sense, when we do the EXACT job they are hiring for)

A computer draws application based on criteria input by the carrier. Just because it draws you application with 3000 TT and 200 TPIC, the recruiters that LOOK at it, can and most likely WILL turn it down when they see you are regional hopping for quick upgrades and fast PIC time.

I've heard the same from many folks at UAL and DAL.. Yes the computer gets you the interview but people make the final decision.

Look at some of you guys promoting the regional shuffle... The only reason TSA, etc can staff anything is because people jump to chase that magic PIC time. These companies bank on poaching pilots by selling PIC time like Timmy here. But If people wouldn't do that $%&! then these places wouldn't be able to staff properly for their ridiculous growth percentage. Growth is all fine and dandy, and it's a good thing for TSA, or anyone. I'm not saying XJT is the bees knees, but too many people are hurting this industry by running around from regional to regional. If you just try hard and network, there are far better options out there for many senior FOs than going to some other regional and thinking you're going to have the phone ring when you hit 1000 TPIC.

You want to know facts? Mesa and GJ pilots have been hired at the majors. How does that fit into your theory?

As far as being so "intensive", ever heard of being asked "Have you ever had any 121 failures, except at XJT/ASA? If you have one there you're fine" in a major interview? …. Doubtful.
Keep puffing that chest out though...

Really? Which major airline hiring department do you work for? Also, how many of them do you know that actively say "those XJT pilots, man can they fly that autopilot all good."

Because if you take a sampling of the new hires at (insert legacy airline here), the majority of pilots in the civilian demographic have TPIC time. Sure, they hire pilots with no TPIC. But on average, they are STILL in the minority of new hires. I know, I know, some guy is gonna come on here and say "but.......but........my buddy said ALL the guys in his new hire class were all FO's!!!!!!!!". Sure, maybe, but the average since OTS hiring began would dictate differently, WAY DIFFERENTLY.
When the amount of new hires at (insert legacy airline here) have 0 TPIC while there's STILL 1000's of apps in the stack with TPIC, THEN your statement would be valid. But for here and now, "0 121 TPIC" is not valued "over" guys with thousands of it.
Boxes checked that represent the "total person", connections, affiliations, whatever come into play to filter through the selection/app screen process.
