So you are saying that the 45 ejets would've gone to xjt? The negotiations at xjt have stalled. Management doesn't want to pay.
They are guaranteed.. check your facts..

Guarantee – The total PPS distribution will be no less than:
*Guarantee applies only to first half of 2022 (September 15th, 2022 payment)
1) $11.7 million for the sum of the total PPS distributions covering net income in 2017 (reconciled annually).

So tell me, how much will your PPS check. E for each one of those years? See, the difference with every other regional is they can tell you exactly how much theirs is going to be and can actually plan for that finite amount.

Also, now you've ignored two of my questions.

It will be more if the Company makes more then the “minimum”. But last months was $2800 (CA). We get them twice a year. Sep/mar. And we get 4 performance/financial a year.. (CA’s looking at 10-16k depends on how much you work..). Don’t no why you care. Go to Endeavor and get on a Major. Who cares how how much regionals pay. Get in get out!! And easy your pain while you are there.. i.e. no commute ect...

Yeah, the only pain is the commute. But I'm not going to endeavor and starting over at the bottom and commuting. I can actively get to a major from here. But I care because I care about the industry. I know you guys can do better than a 5% pay rate increase over 5 years. And if you can do better, it helps others do better. Just as when endeavor passes their TA, it'll help everyone else, even you guys...in 5 years. But instead of being helped, you guys can help yourselves out and in the process help everyone else also...like endeavor.

But my point about the bonuses, and that spreadsheet is what you've explained. It's not finite. There is a minimum but that even depends on the amount of pilots. There's no way to be able to count on a specific amount so you can't quantify it on a spreadsheet like you can all the other bonuses everyone else has. I mean, what other regional tells its pilots they have a bonus but it depends on profit, amount of pilots, amount of hours you work? No one! Everyone else is, here is $10k now and another $10k if you are still here next year and the next. You get the idea. This is what I mean that you can do better. You guys always agree to these things that have strings attached (which doesn't help anyone else) when everyone else doesn't do that...yet.

By the way, you are still ignoring the two questions.

Bingo.

No commute, ease your pain, get in and get out... Those are all things the Mesa lackeys said when I got in the business 15 years ago. Never a word about leaving the place better than you found it.

What are your other 2 questions?? Are you referring to what if OO had voted No...? Better ask DA before he head to greener pastures.. maybe he will “spill the beans”.

No need to ask him, we all know those planes were going to Skywest whether you voted yes or no. You guys left a decent chunk of money on the table.

I really don't understand why you are all competing to be the tallest midget in the bar by arguing whose crappy regional is better.

Why even jump to another regional? All of the LCCs are hiring, even without PIC time.

The regional game is over. First Comair fell, then ACA/Indy, and now ASA/XJT. From now on, the regionals won't be a worthwhile career like so many of us fought for back in the day to try and make it. Why not go ahead and jump to an airline that IS career worthy, flying Boeings and Airbus aircraft for pay and benefits competitive with the legacy carriers. And you can always keep your apps out if you've just always wanted to fly that big airplane over the ocean, but you'll have a Boeing or Airbus type in your pocket, instead of a sideways or backward jump to explain. To me, going to a regional and starting over just doesn't make any sense. Look forward, not back.

That was one of them. Those planes weren't going anywhere else. I'm sure DA and company hope they wouldn't but it doesn't mean anything. We are currently stalled in negotiations because we won't accept what management is offering. Let's face it, it's highly unlikely at this point that they give xjt a new airplane type, especially when the pilot contract is more expensive. But you still haven't answered the other question...oh well, never mind.

First, the regional game is not over. What is happening is the consolidation that already happened with the legacy carriers and is now happening at the regional level. ExpressJet was in the crosshairs and still is- an expensive, top-heavy pilot group. Yeah, other regionals have a bigger top pay rate now, but now many of their pilots are around to get it?
As for the LCCs, I've been around this industry to know that every situation is not right for a pilot. While I'd be open to JetBlue, Virgin and SWA, Allegiant and Spirit just don't work for me. Since none of them or legacy carriers are calling, that leaves me with staying in place or a lateral move. Neither is appealing, but oh well.
