Not sure what you are referring to here. Each side represented their pilots interests and an agreement could not be reached. End of story. We were both going down anyway regardless, per the skywest playbook. A JCBA would have just made it cheaper for them.

Just one example: CRJ negotiators would either not show for negotiation meetings, or walk out. It was a blatant refusal to negotiate. It was not just one or two members, and it was routine. I’m not sure whose interests they were looking out for, but it wasn’t your’s nor mine.

Much of the truth about the former ASA MEC chairman and some of his supporters within the MEC has come out. It appears they were looking out after their own self interests instead of the pilots they were suppose to represent. The MEC chairman was double dipping- drawing full time pay in addition to cancellation pay and other pay in violation of ALPA national policies. He was making north of $200k/year, but how much nobody knows as he was not reporting his income to national, also in violation of their policies. His schenanigans were finally uncovered but only after some digging by a few reps. It was hard to do as he would not disclose to anyone how he was being paid or how much (in violation of ALPA and labor laws), and would publically attack anyone who had the temerity to ask.
He was eventually forced to resign under mounting pressure and was under investigation by both XJT and ALPA. Unfortunately XJT let him resign, so he is no longer on property. Probably will be picked up by a major in the near future like “Headset Man”. 🙄

I'm a LASA guy. 16 years and I moved up 9 on the latest seniority list (which is a monumental leap for me). But I'm leaving next month. So there is some attrition from the 15+ year guys/gals.

Of course he probably has a job lined up at a major.
