I assume most of those guys going to the majors from PS had been with the company for some time? 5-10 years?

Curious about how the 121 world views SE turbine PIC time...
If you have prior 121 or multi-turbine time then you shouldn't have a problem going from PlaneSense to a major. Nobody is going to a major with no multi, SE turbine only.

I can't even see myself doing that currently. Maybe I wouldn't be an FO for long, but at a minimum that type of flying is different than anything I've done - like it would be for you.

Good luck though if you pursue this line of work and thanks for your ATC service! That will certainly be beneficial for you!

Thanks you guys for your responses. I got a call a month + ago. Technical interview was two to three weeks ago. I am heading to Portsmouth on Monday for the completion of the interview/sim on Tuesday for an First Officer position. No idea of a timeline for subsequent training to begin, that’s of course if I get hired.
Any ideas as to when the next class would begin?
Happy Landings!

Congratulations! How many hours did you have when you got the call? I’m a CFI/CFII waiting for the call. I got an email saying my application was forwarded to the chief pilot for review.

Most likely a March, April or May courses they are scheduling up for.

Yup, I was there for a decade but I had to leave for a bit to get a type rating and some jet time. Within 8 months of going to another 135 operator I had interviews with two majors. Ended up landing at JetBlue. The PIC turbine time is not useless, even though it’s SEL. You’ll need some MEL to balance it out though.

Does it have to be MEL Turbine and how much are we talking? I have about 200 hrs Multi Piston.. (I'm an MEI, so much of it is dual given)

Is calling up the secret? Who did you end up calling? I submitted my application a few months ago. 800 hour CFI/CFII and haven’t heard back.
