But it is the union's job to ensure the contract is enforced (and that the company is enforcing it).
To me, the whole bot issue is # 236 out of about 250 issues we have going on. I have no idea what the scheduling rep for the union does or has the ability to do, but there are MANY other scheduling issues I would prioritize higher than bot tracking.

I will say changes are happening within the mec. Previously though, you have to ask why we have (had) some within the mec who wouldn’t admit there were bots and didn’t want to do anything about it. 🤔

that’s just it, it’s not specifically in the contract. Besides they can’t even make the company follow the cba as it is. We have more open grievances than any other airline too.

my biggest issue is they talked about how captcha was getting rolled out shortly then never followed up and its been over a year. That’s just straight up unacceptable to go silent after saying it’s coming soon. If something changed just communicate it with the pilot group.

1). MOST airline negotiations take 4-5 years. SWA just went through a 6+ yr negotiation. Allegiant is in negotiations now along with us and has been for years.
2). The RLA, despite what many think about it usefulness, is still valid and in effect. Perhaps we will see if the full authority (self help) will be allowed for us.
3). Once the NC is decided, stick with them. Firing/replacing them is just more time consuming.
4). DL and the other legacies did the industry a SOLID by going to 3 yr contracts. The cycle will now speed up to the point where longer negotiations won't pay off as the threat of other airlines negotiating lower rates first (thereby making the case for those pilot groups who negotiate last costing more to the company). We shall see how that factors in for us a DL comes up on their early opener next year.
5). Remember, the pilots can ALWAYS VOTE a TA down. The market is the market.

There is an end. Life is so much about expectation management. So here's some...

Looking forward to my 70k retro check and a new contract with QOL improvements and a snap up clause.
It takes time. But it will happen. Getting upset over it will only **** off you and your family since they have to deal with you every day.
Leave work at work and let stuff happen.
