I agree. Arbitration will get more attention by underwriters than just negotiations but still won't be a huge factor. Anything received in arbitration will be much better than they appear willing to give us... and expediting will save us several years to get to the same place.

I did a search and couldn't find the answer to this question. On Frontiers website they list the hiring mins as:
Qualifications:
• 2500 hours total
• 1500 hours multi-engine fixed wing*¹
• 500 hours pilot in command (PIC)*²
• 500 hours jet/turbo-prop
Also there is a note that military pilots receive .3 per sortie. Am I to understand this multiplier applies to all categories? Purely for example, say I had 2200 total time and only 1300 of that is multi. Will the .3 multiplier boost you over 2500 total time and 1500 hours multi if you were just under? I'm assuming so but wanted to make sure.

First of all I appreciate the rides you guys give me to work! I have the upmost respect for all of you! Not sure if you know what's going on at Spirit over the last week, if you do I apologize but it seems our new ceo has called us "lower tier pilots".... This has had a terrible negative effect on our pilot groups attitude towards management. Over the last couple days it's occurred to me that not only he called us "lower tier" but has labeled Frontier and Allegiant pilots that as well. Please do not see this as a post to fire you guys up but it seems at this point we might in the future be one big pilot group and you should be well aware of their view of all of us!! Good luck

You said your CEO "seems" to have called you lower tier pilots. Did he actually say that? If he did it is a dangerous insult to every airline pilot including legacy because it undermines the trust the people in the back put in us, and they do trust us, whether implicit or expressed.
What does that even mean "lower tier"? I guess ULCC pilots are like a Physician's Assistants and Legacy pilots are the Medical Doctors?
Ok, no problem, I'll gladly accept the title as soon as the FAA starts issuing ULCC only ATP certificates and type ratings, for half the cost and half the training.
Despicable!
