Likely will be 7 weeks from day 1 to passing your checkride. In my class everyone got about 6 days off after week 4 (between ground and FTD) and 6 or 7 off after FTD before going into the sim. You'll get 5 FTD sessions, and 9 full sim sessions, plus a checkride, and then a LOFT, so 11 sims total. Definitely enough time to get pretty comfortable with things.
After finishing in the school house, I had 15 days off before starting IOE.
I enjoyed my time in training, as much as an initial can be at least. The instructors and check airmen (both sim and IOE) were truly fantastic people, and I think that most of my classmates have said the same.
Also, they gave us our badges and had us in CASS by about day 2 or 3. I think about half of my class were commuters, and nearly all of them went home on the weekends.

We had weekends off throughout ground school with a block of 3 days for Memorial Day. I think we had 3 days off between ground and FTD's. Seems like we had 1 day off between FTD's & Sims. I had a Saturday FTD then Sims on Monday. Your schedule may be different. Worth noting, Staybridge doesn't generally provide transportation to and from the Sim Center (SSS) and neither does F9. Uber is a good option.

Cliché or not, we're all on the same team. Us against this capital investment firm that violates our contract every day.

I'm starting class next month and I ended up just going with a crash pad for $250/mo. Not ideal, but if you are looking to keep some of your own money throughout training, it's a sacrifice you'll have to make.

I stayed at a crashpad for $250/month. A couple guys from my class stayed there as well. You will need transportation, though, because nothing out there is really within walking distance of anything else it seems.
If you can't take your vehicle or won't be carpooling, I would recommend the Staybridge or the Days Inn on Tower for ground school. Sims are in a different location a few miles down the road, so I'm not sure what the hotel shuttle situation is.

I wasn't free riding in 2007, because I wasn't here. I got the full pleasure of the first year pay you gave away (for nothing), and "hindsight" is a choice word when almost every new hire coming onboard today enjoys a sweet paycut! So now is a good time to talk about whether we're going to stop effing over the new guys in our next contract. I'm tired of flying with food stamp FOs, it's a shame and they deserve better.

All of our pay scales suck. Across the board we are 40% less then our competitors. Every single year needs to come up.
And to DrJekyll,your going to criticize negotiations that you weren't even here for, that you don't have a clue about what was going on at Frontier at the time? Are you kidding me!
Not a single pilot expected Frontier to be in existence 1-2 years down to road while we were negotiating that reduction in first year pay. As F9 Driver said, it didn't hurt a single pilot on property and if it helped keep us in business , and all of us employed, then so be it.
No one that wasn't here 8 years ago has no idea what we went through. Back then I would have put money on us going out of business years ago. That we are still here, making tons of money, and growing like crazy, is due in large part to the sacrifices that the pilot group made back then.
So since you weren't here I'll accept your thank you on behalf of all of the pilots who made those sacrifices so that you can currently be employed here.
And to prospective new hires. Frontier needs you more then you need them. Do not accept the crappy pay and substandard contract they want to stick you with. There are much better operations that value you way more then Frontier does.

Example: if "they make $100 and you make $60 you need
60x1.70=$102
Let's not forget united snaps to whatever delta gets and both AA and Ual open again in 2019

And let's remember if you make 40% less that means you need north of a 70% raise not 40% just to be even at date of signing.
Example: if "they make $100 and you make $60 you need
60x1.70=$102
