So just taking a look at F9 but a few things.
1. How long on rsv in ORD ?
2. Can someone post up their schedule as apparently there are allot of redeyes so just trying to get an idea of whats what. Preferably from the 1 year 2 year guy/gal
3. As well are the overnights really all at the airport ie no downtown no nice overnights etc? Just makes me think its a real go to work and get done slam click culture which of course has other repercussions in QOL.
thanks

1) Based in ORD within six months, two months RSV and have been a line holder all summer averaging 17 off. One of the months I was on RSV I was only used two days...which was awesome since I live in base!
2) Haven't flown a redeye since first week of July. I'm pretty darn good at swapping trips in open time which have netted me more days off and no redeyes for August. Not bad for a Junior guy...so its possible.
3) Look, the hotels are fine. Not great. Not terrible. Everybody has different tastes. Whatever, I make it work. I guess I'm the "go to work and knock it out kinda guy." Productivity is more important to me than knocking back drinks and chasing skirt on an overnight. That being said, I've already had more than a few crazy overnights here!
And a few more things. The people are great to work with. The training was awesome and laid back. The Bus is great to fly. Pay will improve with the new contract and suddenly F9 will be the place to be. I have no complaints but I've worked hard all my life and came here with eyes wide open knowing that the short term is painful but the long term will be great. Also, F9 is growing rapidly and with that comes growing pains...that's typical to every business.
Hope that helps.

Been here less than a year. Was hired during upgrades and expansion both of which have slowed this summer (typical during summer months). So my experience may not be reflective of someone hired today.

With just less than a year here I haven't had a red eye since IOE.
As far as hotels I don't get what some people are looking for.
These are damn layover hotels not hotels you stay at on vacation.
I will say every hotel I've stayed at with F9 was also a crew hotel for another airline.
AA, DAL, Spirit, Alegiant, Atlas, JetBlue and UPS. Those are all crews I've talked to while laying over at the hotels F9 provides on layovers.
They must all be miserable also.
Some people will ***** regardless.

A six day strike is a quick strike. I agree with the above poster, it won't be several weeks or three months. Based on what?? An educated guess with the money and stakeholders involved. I have 3 months out of work prep money but it would be used for holding out, it'll be used to find a job overseas. Hainan Airlines is now paying almost 500k/year. Gotta live in Beijing, though. And wear a PEB all the time.

Get a grip man..are you kidding me?? No not at all. Frontier is a great place to work, and then your next post mentions that we'll need a strike to fix what's broken?? You bet, same **** every other airlines gone through since its inception. That doesn't sound great at all. The DAL and SWA retirement and healthcare packages alone are worth thousands more per year than the crap we have, possibly tens of thousands. But keep drinking that "Frontier is great" KoolAid. Keep shutting one down exactly 120 seconds after you land, I don't make that decision keep talking non-stop to passengers, don't do that either keep carrying bags, yup, you bet, always, if someone needs a hand I'll help them, that's my nature. and keep the faith man. Frontier rocks!! Puhhhhh-leeez
And btw...1st year pay at UAL is better than our year 4 FO.

Surprised you left out, "while wearing your hat". No worries though, I'll dust it off just for you.
Look for me I'll be the guy in the hat taking care of our customers while you **** and moan.

Factor in the customer base lost and all the fees they have to pay, whether or not the airplane even flies, it's gonna get ugly quick... Indigo is completely aware of the big bucks they lost when spirit went on strike... A strike ain't happening as much as I'd love to see it... It'll come down to the last second

I'm not sure where you guys stay but a "layover hotel" should be the type of hotel you would stay in on a company business trip. That to me means a Hilton, Hyatt regency, Marriott, double tree, intercontinental, and maybe a Hilton garden, or a Hampton inn in the smaller markets if the higher level chains aren't available. Every airline has a couple less than desirable hotels in the system that we want to change but it shouldn't be the majority. You are a professional on a business trip. The airport sleep inn is not acceptable IMO.
You left out Westins,we also stay at Westins.
