I never said PSA was a great place to work.

I also never said we didn't take concessions.

I said that your post was useless and inflammatory, just like this one.

This started because you were defending mgmt and their recruiting practices on this forum. Many have pointed this out how dishonest it is to preach the merits of working at psa as it is a train wreck. Potential candidates should hear from mgmt types like you AND the pilots who know how working for a wholly owned sucks. I'll never understand how there are regional "company men" anymore after the way they have treated pilots.

This started because someone was mad that PSA had a username on here, I said I thought it was smart....nonsense ensued.

I'll ask you this question since no one else answered it before. Why is PSA having a username on this website any different from Eagle having a page on Facebook? Or silver offering 10 grand?

I am a line pilot, nothing more. I'm not a member of mgmt, I'm not a LCA, I'm not in the recruiting dept. I go to work, fly, and go home.

That being said the day to day life at PSA is no worse than it is at any other regional. All the vitriol on here is childish because there are no jumpseat denials, there are no "dirty looks" in the terminal.

So let me know what kind of first hand experience you have with PSA being a "train wreck" right now.

Are you going to answer both of the questions I asked you or just go away like everyone else does when I ask them something they cannot, or do not want to answer.

We go away because we quickly figure out arguing with you is like wrestling a pig...pretty soon you realize the pig enjoys it.

1.) Okay the fact that PSA is on here is not the issue- its the bs that they float around about how psa is a solid choice. I like newbies and wannabies to know the truth about most regionals before they commit to these horrible companies. PSA et al embellish the fact that "its a great place to work" when it clearly is not.
2.) PSA is or is becoming a train wreck when the pilot group shows no backbone and gives Mainline everything it asks for. Its a slope that none of you will be able to climb and it means worsening conditions for those new to the airline.
I realize Pagey that you need more guys beneath you on the seniority list to continue the pyramid scheme. After all, you still have a job and a line. Bury your head in the sand and refuse to believe that the concessions you took made PSA a trainwreck sooner than later.
Does this suffice P?

The pig analogy goes both directions.

So as to the first question: What is the truth? You don't know the answer to that. Yes PSA voted in concessions.....that doesn't make it a bad place for a new hire to go. Would Eagle be a good place to go to work right now? Because according to your philosophy it is because they might vote down concessions......and have a shrinking airline where a new FO will never upgrade....ever.

I didn't take any concessions....I voted no. I was upset at the outcome but that doesn't make PSA a bad place for me to go to work at. I have 18 days off with 90+ hours credit for february. I was awarded an 11 day off line with 85 hours credit.

There is no bar, especially at a wholly owned. We are at the whim of our parent. As soon as this is realized around here these threads will be a lot more boring.

Where do you work?

Eagle is not a good place to go work for a new guy (hopefully that will change, but unlikely)...that's the simple answer. There's no defending it, like it would appear you try to defend PSA.

Ah just as I thought- youre a senior line holder who desperately needs newbies to fill the junior ranks with horrible QOL. Btw, I would never advise anyone to go to Eagle-lol. Is that the basis of your point? Ive lived the wholly owned life at pdt but it only took me 11 months to realize it was a dead end. Have you tried to leave?

My point is to alert the CFIs out there to avoid ALL wholly owned regionals and not to fall for recruitment bs. You dont have a problem with that- do you?
Be more concerned with where you work and get out now! Peace man- Lets just agree to disagree. Good luck.

I am bottom 20% in my base.

What would be a good regional to work for? Compass? What if you don't get hired there?

If you had started by saying "wholly owns are not good to work at" I would've agreed.

Ok Bozo and all... I am a newbie and looking for as much info as possible before making a decision on where to go.
Clearly I am hearing to steer away from PSA as it seems like it's the new gojet of even much worse!
But then I am also hearing oh do not go to Gojet, do not go to Eagle (too bad for a DFW based), do not go to Mesa, do not go to whiskey, do not go to Xjet (ah you know all these 50 seaters....), do not go to commutair, do not go to Horizon, do not go to endeavour, etc etc... I will not even mention Silver, GLA.
I even hear do not go to SKW ah, because I will be commuting to reserve for ever! Only one remains then: compass! And I am not competitive for compass!
So, where do I go? I guess do not go to ANY regional, they are all crap and I get that! They need to triple entry level pay. But then again where does one go to get these freaking 121 hours?
