Anyone paying attention should know that as of right now, B6 doesnt feel any real pressure to improve conditions- They have stated this repeatedly in emails and during recurrent.
Only serious staffing issues or a strike vote will shake things up.

You're wasting your time trying to explain this to the true believers.

I feel like we missed the boat and should have picketed this summer, but I trust the MEC and NC (for now) and see what they have up their sleeves (if they do) and follow their lead.
Look where mediation has gotten Frontier and Spirit, meanwhile at UA they are opening up Section 6 early, while the NMB is telling Spirit guys they are being unreasonable. GMAFB!

I wouldn't say growth has been slowed, I'd say it's been redistributed to an obtainable level. The airline can't accept more than one airframe per month. This has been publicly stated by Robin. The growth has been spread evenly instead of trying to take 25 airframes in the 4Q, which is impossible.
Pay isn't the lowest, unless you call Allegiant, Frontier and Spirit outside of the peer set. I understand that when you're talking about the "peer set" that the airilne looked at when averaging pay, they're not included, but they're Airbus operators. Look at the FO rates at Frontier, they max out at $100 an hour at year 12. A JetBlue FO will surpass this after 2 years and one day on property. If you think the airline is simply ignoring those airlines when making their arguments on pay rates, then I believe you are wrong.
Growth can go away, that's correct, but it hasn't. Retirements can be used to stop hiring. This happened at United recently, they parked the 747 fleet in and didn't hire for 9 months. Imagine being the bottom guy on that United list for 9 months, watching the airline shrink around you.
My point being there are no guarantees. You seem to believe there are guarantees, where I contend no such thing exists in this industry at any level.

All the millions of JB pilots that said they were going to leave apparently are not going anywhere?

^^^What he said! The company has no reason or pressure to get this done! Our last mediated negotiation session for this year will be next week, which means by the end of next week we will be in a labor dispute, because we all know nothing will be agreed to before years end, so we will see if the MEC will stand by its word!
I feel like we missed the boat and should have picketed this summer, but I trust the MEC and NC (for now) and see what they have up their sleeves (if they do) and follow their lead.

Why wouldn't the MEC stand by its word? As far as missing the boat unfortunately you have to follow the process. I don't understand why this is hard. Yes we are in mediation but you want to go into mediation saying you have done everything you could to get an agreement. There is a spcefic timeline for everything, this isn't ALPAs first contract. Would it have been better if we voted in a union years ago, YES but it is what it is. We play the card we have now not sit around and think how much better it could have been If we had done this or that. Guys there will be a CBA this game was over when we voted in a union. Now we have a time issue but it will happen and I honestly believe we will be happy with the results. JetBlue is not for everyone and again we are lucky to be in one of if not the best hiring environments ever where pilots can literally pick where they want to go. I still think if you end up at JetBlue things will end up being good.

It's not that easy. I had more written, but the juice probably aren't worth the squeeze. Suffice it to say there are arguments that win that don't involve ignoring entire airlines.

Im glad its being done as a picket preparedness but as a blip on managements radar, it doesnt translate into a TA anytime soon.
Btw- the real airlines havent even started hiring at full capacity- Those "millions" will leave in the new year.
Lets see if B6 continues to rub our noses in the attrition numbers like they did over the summer. Were you okay with that HB?
