I believe the annual bid will have quarterly effective dates (thus the 120 day limit), so you can bid 1Q, 2Q, 3Q or 4Q—similar to what we do now, just all at once instead of 4 separate bids. That way, we don’t lose vacation when we change seat/domicile.

I’ve read this sentence 100 times and interpreted it a few different ways.

One interpretation is that training or transfer has to occur by the 120th day prior to the effective date. So you’d have to be done with or at least start training by October for a 12/31/2020 effective date.

My other interpretation is that training cannot commence until you’re within 120 days of the bid effective date.

Either way I think this sentence requires multiple effective dates in the annual system bid.
I interpret it as within 120 days of your transfer date. So if in August, one is awarded a base transfer on 1 June 2020, their training must start after 1 Feb and be complete by 31 May (roughly quarterly).

In your first example above, September vs October.

I believe you're the only person in this thread who actually read the contract.

I agree it makes sense to do it that way, especially for the coming year with many deliveries and lots of hiring. But it doesn’t have to. In a year with no growth or deliveries only in a certain part of the year it could look very different.

Ok so how do you interpret the sentence I pulled directly out of the CBA?

Hmmmm. Maybe if he was bought off all his trips due to legalities or IOE/ mgmt, then did VDA at 190% for a number of trips, plus made extra via EPS due to late flights etc, and then sold back PTO, I think it could be possible. I’m too lazy to do the math.

Drop for training.

Vda out of base with credit for paper DHs.

Seen this happen and a 2 day credits greater than 45 hours.

Paper DH credit is going away when the global Open time “improvement” goes into effect.

Btw we have global open time now. It’s called vda with paper dh credit.

Another improvement that is less than what we have now!!!

I still don’t think it’s possible to hit 400. Maybe mathematically it is but I’d have to see it myself to believe it.
