Slight change of topic, but does anyone know how big the Sept 23rd class is forecast to be? Aug was 20, or thereabouts, so hopefully the same in Sept...

Got the email stating 2 rounds of PRL were awarded for my base and seat. I know what a PRL is, does this mean only 2 pilots will get PRL days or the entire base? Can I preference which days I want PRL in FLica? Thanks

Check your schedule, every RSV pilot received two days of pre-release in your base. You can move a PRL day only once, but you can only swap it with a day off. I suggest again you read the FSM.

2 rounds of PRL awarded will really help your QOL.... (extra 2 days off for all RSV's)

PRL is ONLY awarded if they can get everyone in the base a day off.

Just of out curiosity, what year will mandatory retirements actually reach a non-trivial number at B6? I heard that early 2020s it'll be around 100/yr, but I don't remember where I heard that. For all I know, I could be thinking of another airline.

Also, what's attrition like in the bottom 1/3rd with all the legacy hiring going on?

Around 2030 we see attrition pick up a bit, but it still won't be anything like the top heavy legacies.

Current attrition is about 54 pilots year to date, with projections from the company of less than 100 for the year. Most of those leaving are in the bottom part of the seniority list. For reference we have around 3100 pilots total.

I wouldn't expect much in the way of career progression from people leaving above you on the JB seniority list. The best thing we have to offer is growth, with about 100 planes expected in the next 8 years.

Yep, it's the year 1-4 guys who leave (approximately). I think attrition has averaged about 150 a year since the legacies started hiring again.
It could be a final landing spot for you though. I recommend it if you want to live in BOS, MCO, or FLL. Places the legacies don't offer. But if you want to live somewhere else and/or commute, def look at legacies.

I'm gonna preface this with what blue blood said. Read the FSM! Especially section D if on RSV. Know the J charts....

Crew services is gonna run a train on you and or lead you down a road to a violation.

It's been explained what a PRL day is. So no you can't preference the day, but after you get it it is movable. You can't do it in flica, you have to call skrew services. I suggest, dumping it far away from anything you may want to trade in the future.
