To those that SQ:

Sitting around on FLICA ( cuz my bot is broken ) looking at BOS SQ opentime trips. Why is LGW a 2 person crew and LHR is 3? It's literally a 1 minute difference in total block time.

It's the report time Day 3. LHR-BOS reports in the red-eye period Boston local time but LGW-BOS doesn't.

Most augmentation decisions can be explained this way.

Same for DUB and EDI. Ireland is the exception as it’s a long enough layover to “acclimatize.”

It’s either that or be senior enough to avoid them. But that realistically leaves LHR, CDG, MAD, AMS. The hours are terrible at Amsterdam (and the city isn’t that great) so leaves three locations. And they are still 15 hour 3 days.

How does JetBlue handle the Europe flying? If you get qualified are you stuck doing it? Can you trade out of it easily? Is it senior or junior? Are you committed to bidding only Europe for a period of time?

Just wondering how AA may handle it. If the XLR ever shows up.

At JB its a separate crew qualification. You aren't stuck, or locked into that qual, and can bid out at any time (well, once a year....). It's gotten relatively senior. You can only bid and be awarded EU flying, but can swap, or pickup domestic trips when the grid allows, which it never does.

DAL used to do almost exclusively 2 pilots to DUB, LHR, EDI, LIS out of BOS pre-Covid.

So unaugmented segments aren’t unique to B6.

As for Mint food, everyone should avoid that stuff. Meal prep if at all possible!

Nobody made the claim they were unique, someone juste queried why they were "junior". Unaugmented crossings almost always go junior.

I’ve never had an issue with the food in mint when I’ve flown in mint… care to elaborate?
