Didn't you guys hear? We want to become the Uber of airlines. We won't have a single airplane, just a bunch of codeshares to sell vacation packages.

I believe it has more to do with FAR117 and historical block times becoming actual block time.

I believe it is now a requirement for each company to audit the block time on each city pair and adjust them based upon a 90 day average.

Why are other airlines block times significantly higher for the same city pairs than JB then?

That was the guy. They sure were glad to see him gone.

We are not releasing the break. They taxi slower. They fly at different times of the day. Etc, etc, etc.

The block time is what it is ... i.e. historical.

We are not releasing the brake. Marketing times are not block times. They taxi slower. They fly at different times of the day. Etc, etc, etc.

Who knows but now ... block time is what it is ... i.e. historical.

I do have faith the company will realize they need to nip the CBA in the butt sooner than later. But it won't be until after a busy season. I doubt they'll want to operated through 2 summers with an unhappy pilot group.
Going transatlantic is a huge strategic move. It's a 'make or break' move by the company. The pilot groups flying preferences aren't even on the list of considerations.

JB's management is pretty aggressive and has already ordered the LR. I would wager it's more of a when, not if.
