I'm just curious what the current negotiation climate is. Based on the tone of these past few months worth of posts, I'm assuming the water's getting a little muddy? Is progress already at a standstill? From what I'm reading, and hearing from friends at Blue, there seems to be conflicting thoughts regarding when/if a CBA will happen.
With a new CBA, B6 will be closer to a career airline, but no CBA can ever provide the movement, options or money of the legacy carriers or even SWA. Seniority will only occur with growth as the retirements are low.
If you live in Boston, its probably a nice life, however, if youre a commuter, much better options exist.
As of now, B6 is just a stone step airline. If you get here, grab your 320 type and update your resume. Stay hungry.
Guys at B6 are great to fly with, but management has been consistently dishonest and deceptive.
There's no way we see a CBA before '18- the company is making too much bank under the current excuse of a contract.
Take the gig and then work hard to leave. Good luck man.

What he said. The last update said we got closer on some big issues but the pay offer from the company was way low. Now pay tends to be one of the last things but the union is powering up for informational picketing. Play the game play the game. My opinion only we might get to that but I doubt the company gets to a strike. They keep meeting so that is good but the operation right now not so good.
If it was me and I lived in JFK it's a no brainer if you want out from your current company. We will have a contract and it will be a good solid contract.

And you know...who needs to get the pax to where they're going? They can spend the night at the airport, just like crews do during IROPS.

It sounds like it was a coffee pot... or maybe one of our guys was cooking?

Regardless, the way they handled the pax was pretty sh!tty... must be that caring value.

Latest CP update: previously the 401k company match occurred with each paycheck. Uh, no. In my experience it took 7 days for the company 401 match to show up in my T Rowe account. Over a career? Significant loss. So now they're saying it will happen instantly with Empower? Am I reading this correctly?

I took it just to mean the retirement + was just going to be on every check instead of each quarter.

Question - I was just notified via app and text that my 3 day redeye on Monday went to RFT. Never happened before so when I looked it up it said it was taken for training. Manual says RTF, VDA, and RSA pickup on those days paid above guarantee. I don't want to do any of those given the state of affairs but what about helping another pilot out with a pickup from trade board? Is that on top of the paid RFT? No mention of pickups in scheduling manual.

Think you mean DFT?

If so I think, request to fly (RTF) is the only way you can get Pay on top of what you have now..

I could be wrong, but this is the only what it's happened for me. I had a two day. Put RTF on my schedule. They awarded a trip to an RSV. I called said I was legal for it and they should have called me. 10 minutes later they paid me for it and I didn't even need to do it.

You can double dip on that senerio only via RTF having the request in before 7 am the day prior basically , egg is allotted in seniority order .

It was DFT. I typed it wrong.

It does lose some value - insignificant in the big scheme of the month - because its costs the per diem and red eye bump. Again, small overall but still, it's technically a loss. Sure there's the days off but a loss of overall compensation. If they want it, you should get the entire opportunity cost reimbursement.
