In a sense, they are right to think it. The act of marching around company HQ doesn't amount to anything. It's how we vote for a contract and how we exert market forces in the pursuit of a good contract. Sadly, our sorry state of the contract that 70-something percent of people voted for shows how defeated this group really is.

Didn't B6ALPA just send out a cryptic email regarding misinterpretations about commuting rules? I seem to remember this was addressed prior to the vote. I guess now we live with the mistake of a poorly written contract. Time to identify these failures and get them straightened out in the next one.

No Q. Nobody mentioned in detail all of the weakness in the CBA and how the company would exploit it. It's a total surprise.

Just wait until all the guys excited about our "new" reserve system feel once they see it in action.

My union speaks for me. And they say it’s great. So it must be so. Oh wait...

Default Wow

Sounds like you guys are unhappy , Not what I was expecting at all. So long story short , I have an interview coming up, currently at a regional with American flow ( 5 years still ) I have 13 off a month , 8 days I can request off each month. Truthfully, without being *****y towards the company what do the schedules look like for new hires after line training . Can I hold MCO

Most are pretty happy in reality, I think that's APC in general. Not that there aren't issues. No you won't hold MCO out of training. Plan on 190 Bos/jfk, maybe 320/jfk.

Please. Look at our pay scales and compare your regional world. Check your 401k and compare our plan and CBA. 4 month guys are holding junior lines with 16 days off no prob. Jetblue is better. We will keep trying to get better.

I like getting paid... work is the byproduct of needing funding.

I think I know where you are and I’ve got buddies at JetBlue... 17-19 days off in the 190 by the time they finishesd their first year. Easy transition from the Barbie jet also.

First year pay is probably comparable to what your getting with Training center MMG, but JetBlue gives a 15% DC (now and 16% in 2021), and second year rates are better than the 12 year CA rates where you are now (and you only get about a 4% match). You’re about 11-12 years out from from being a Group 2 captain at AA. Theres lot of higher earnings at JetBlue (especially 401k DC) than staying the WO/ flow route over that period of time. For most folks that amount of money will never be regained by staying the WO/ flow to AA route.

If you get the opportunity, go! Run to JetBlue and bring more of us with you.
