He melted down about his $4500 "contribution" being wasted. Now his path to raising the age apparently runs through his landlord's "personal relationship" with someone who knows Trump. This may be the breakthrough they've been hoping for!
I wonder how long it's going to take for all the suckers to realize there is zero transparency or accountability for the money they have sent in. They have likely been bankrolling untold numbers of car payments, mistress's cosmetic procedures, crypto speculation, etc. I bet only a small fraction of their "donations" have actually gone to the "cause." This should be entertaining to watch unravel.

spoken like somebody who never went through the bankruptcy, furloughing, downsizing, outsourcing of the 80’s and 90’s…. The stagnation of the lost decade, more bankruptcies, more furloughs, not to mention the high probability in this profession of a divorce or two sapping funds…… since 2015 things have been improving with very few setbacks. If you’ve got less than 10 years in the industry, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Hearing it, reading about it, are all far different than having lived it.

Can you afford the lifestyle of a 35+ mainline career with no setbacks? Probably not.
Can you afford a more modest life in retirement? Absolutely.
Y'all love to crap on entitled young people but the absolute kings of entitlement are pilots that think they "deserve" a specific amount of money to afford a certain level of lifestyle just because. Don't tell junior "life's not fair, deal with it" if you're not ready to be in the receiving end.

Have your tried not buying avocado toast? Maybe packing lunch at home? At what point do you adjust your career/retirement expectations to your current reality and readjust your spending and budgeting. Every airline pilot that had gone through this is still putting more money in the bank than the average American.

It's funny how most of the rabidly anti-67 crowd has an opinion, but not a perspective. Reminds me of the childless guys who tried to give me parenting advice when I was wrangling three kids under 7. Thanks, pal. Your comments have been noted.

Maybe they should have gone to flight school?
Ive found that no matter the generation, butthurt exists across all quadrants. For me, I try to keep mine in check. Some have luck, some have good timing, some have struggle and some have all of it. No matter what, perseverance, gratitude and good decision making has been my goal (and sometimes I’ve missed the mark).
