What is good about having the worst yet most expensive insurance of any major, the worst disability of any major, one of the worst retirements of any major, absolutely no merger protection.

Explain that to me?

The bluebelles, including you, at Jetblue continue to pat themselves on the back for a job well done when we rank amongst the worst in nearly every category. The only way things will ever change is when pilots stop applying, start leaving in larger numbers or we get a union.
Meanwhile pilots come on these boards touting how great the airline is. Whats great about it? The fact no one harasses you? They don't harass you at other majors yet they are compensated substantially better than us with better protections.
You take weekly emails from flight ops, the CEO, the COO and the board of directors as somehow meaning this place actually cares and takes care of you. What a ludicrous notion.

Jetblue almost made our entire pilot budget in one quarter yet our benefits and disability continue to be gutted.

What is so great about a job that tells you how good you are but then does the opposite when it comes to things that actually make quality of life better. Explain that?

I for one like it here and do not see myself leaving unless shown the door. The things you mentioned need to be changed but I am accepting of the terms I was hired (or else I would not have accepted the job). While here (being happy) there is nothing wrong with working to improve our shortcomings. Im ok accepting the fact that it could be a 2-10 year plan to achieve the things we want so long as we are moving forward as a pilot group.

If you are so disappointed in your company, then why have you chosen to continue working there? Nobody is forcing you to work at the blue.

So after these calls, where does that put the pool? Any idea how far down the list they are now?

If this job is as bad as you pretend, it would be EASY to find a better one. Why are you still here?

ahhh the standard saying "why are you still here," managements wet dream response to non conformists. Blue, what if a company said to you that you were to make 25% less tomorrow? how about 26% less? 27%? Would that be enough to just leave or do you keep hoping and praying for better? Ah shucks, throw us a scrap here and there and we can make it work right? If fellow pilots responded to your complaints of inadequate compensation with "just leave" do you think that would help advance us as a group? If a company made 52 million in profit and said they would reduce medical benefits shortly thereafter would that be appropriately compensating you for the responsibility you endure throughout your career? It never ceases to amaze me the turd sandwich one is willing to munch on in the name of keeping the peace.

I think just being quiet is the way to go, yeah, be nice and eventually you will be taken care of. Management will take care of me right? I should trust my family's well being on people who I have never met. I should just pray they do the right thing for me and if they don't I will just pray harder cause its worked in the past right? Never disagree or raise legitimate issues cause they will all just magically work themselves out. I have found that waiting a little bit longer, say 10 more years will be enough time. By then new management will have a note that says the previous management promised way back in 2012 to take care of the guys so it will be done!

One thing is for sure, there will never be a shortage of people coming to work for less money and to take less without complaining.

You don't have to do any of that. You don't have to work here. I have no problem with making things better. I will most likely vote yes to a union.

But how can anyone take you guys serious when you exaggerate our problems for effect? And if you claim you are not exaggerating, then I have to ask why you voluntarily subject yourself to the horror of JetBlue employment further?

Surely if this is the worst major airline, you could get a better job easily? No?

Name any of the exaggerations?

Insurance, no. Retirement, no. Disability, no. Vacation/sick bank, no. Managements bonuses tied to NPS, no. No merger protection, no.

You let us know what we are exaggerating about.
