Also, you’re saying that American says they’ll pay us, for simplicity’s sake, $100 to fly our plane and oh by the way you can only pay your guys $x. That makes no sense. As long as the company agrees to the $100 what do they give a crap if the company is paying $y.

Also, it looks like the union did want the decrease. They voted for it.
American and united paid for the increased salaries back when we got the new contract. American wouldn't chip in if we paid more than their regionals (since then, they've gotten raises). If there were any negotiators still working here from that contact, I'd have you ask them.

I didn't vote for it, I just have to accept the outcome, just like every other union member that voted no.

I post here to correct misinformation. Sorry you don’t like my thread choice. That’s on you.
Haha, Pangolin. I admire you for your passion that you've been showing throughout.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of pilots that just don't care. Selfish in their own ways.

So now is probably a good time to tell you that if the AA contract goes up in smoke that the company will need 40% less pilots which will put you as a junior reserve CA in a base not of your choosing.

first 30% seniority will be the CA’s 30-60% seniority will be the FO’s lower then 60% seniority will be kicked to the street.

Don’t worry Pangolin and Terk you can fly the CRJ200 out of CVG if the AA contract disappears.

JO locked up a refurbishment facility for the next few years to convert 200s to cargo. Was on the company call a few days ago. Sent mechanics to the desert to find engines.

Something about SKW was looking into cargo flying with their -200s for DHL so JO blocked them. But, what do I know, I just work here... 🤷🏻‍♂️

(Fyi honestly I dont think we will loss the AA contract, just a reduction)

American won't cut the cheapest contractor of them all, IF cost savings is the goal.

Only a fool (terks?) would think so.

What did I miss? We are hauling cargo for DHL with CRJ 200’s? Why don’t we use 900’s?
