By the way, if anyone doesn't check their email much, the deadline to enroll for United flight Benefits is February 2.

Heard from someone who works in training we can't fill this next class to desired capacity due in part to recruiting being a mess right now. Anyone else hear anything similar? Sounds like JO may need to get on his announcement of more upgrades. Heard him quoted recently that he won't increase pay bc he is giving out quick upgrades in lieu of money.

My point exactly. He doesn't have any carrots left to dangle anymore and there is no reason to come to Mesa other than maybe if you live in Dallas or Phoenix. Something's gotta give. I say good, let our classes be less than full for a while. With the CA/FO attrition and lack of interest in coming to Mesa, surely he's gotta realize he's gotta do something different.

Hmm... Interesting... Call me crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if we kept upgrading people and flew a lot more captain on captain...
We are just one announcement away from filling classes and fast upgrades, thats all it takes... I wonder how many new people are deciding to go to PSA and TSA instead of Mesa now? Interesting... Never had issues before with filling classes...

Two buddies I flew with in my previous life have apps in at both...one is sticking w Mesa and one bounced for PSA before starting at Mesa. Losing CLT had something to do with it, though he could commute there and Dfw just the same, so I think it was for the airlines growth. I imagine, since 100% of my class said they came to Mesa for the upgrade, that upgrade is the most compelling carrot...more so than pay and contract. So, I imagine, lots. Until we announce some new growth and/or a CTP.

I don't think a lot of people do the math on this quick upgrade thing.
