If you put in for Phoenix, does someone under you get pushed out or do they just not let you in until there's a vacancy?

You can't ever bump someone out that is junior to you if there is no vacancy.

If there is a vacancy, then you will be awarded a spot, and everyone below you will bump down a spot.

The most junior guy today will bump down to the most junior guy after the vacancy award, making room for you wherever you fall in the FO list for that base.

June for last E175.

I think new 900s start around August.

Fast upgrades are alive and well at MAG, atleast through the end of 2015.

On the UAL non rev site, if you go to book a flight and try to view pass rider list, some names have a blue check mark next to them. What does that mean?

I'm considering holding off on the upgrade until I get some real winter flying experience. There was a group of us hired around a year ago that spent the summer out east and were able to hold PHX before the weather started getting nasty. And since hell would likely freeze over before a junior CRJ CA could hold PHX, it might be best to bid IAD or DFW for a couple months over the winter before upgrading.

Thoughts?

So that's nice for management to never have to worry about that.
Does "non-economic" mean the same as "cost neutral"? I can't think of anything that won't in some way cost the company more money.

You are ready or you are not. If you question whether you can safely command a jet with 76 people and a fresh out of IOE FO while in the crap, then don't bid captain. If you would like a little reassurance, go pick up some IAD flying and see how you do. If you feel like you are ready but are afraid of facebiters posts about inexperience in the northeast winters, I wouldnt sweat it if you know what you are doing.
