The 12/4 gripe is valid, but also one dimensional. The PSA seniority list is much more junior. The payroll sayings from Eagle going to 12/4 is many times more than PSA, it would be the equivalent of PSA going to a 6/2 cap.

Since PSA didn't vote in a 6/2 cap the payroll sayings is not there. The Eagle union should have tried to negotiate to the company for the same % of payroll cut if they were going to ultimately concede to a concession. 12 year employees at PSA are currently awaiting a class dates at American so that shows you how the "12/4 caps concession" was not a big cost savings for AAG. It is, what has turned out to be not a very expensive bargaining credit.

An equivalent vote for American Eagle would have been a 360 jet plan with options to 542 jets with 25 flows per month and a 17/7 step cap for some minor payroll savings.

You really believe that would have been voted down?
Burn it down!!

$12.5k???

Ok fine somebody else can burn it down. I got kids in college!

Just a tip about the Hilton at TYS. If there is a major event going on in town, like a UT football or something else, they will not give you the PSA $60 rate. The room usually goes for $120 at that point. There are a few hotels just across the street from the airport, but not sure what they cost.

Get the buffet. Something like 11-3 every weekday. You'll thank me later.

In Knoxville, if you have transportation, the Mainstay Suites is $5 cheaper than the Hilton ($51.99+tax) and includes a free breakfast. That rate is available anytime they have a room available. No airport transportation, though.

I'm thinking the preferential interview currently is more like 4% of the pilot group.
If your under 100 on the seniority list your interview will be this year. Then number:
150 in 2016
200 in 2017
250 in 2018
300 in 2019
350 in 2020
400 in 2021
450 in 2022
500 in 2023
550 in 2024
600 in 2025
650 in 2026
700 in 2027
750 in 2028
800 in 2029
850 in 2030
900 in 2031
950 in 2032
1000 in 2033
1050 in 2034

Are you factoring in attrition?

It was 10% when it was started, but per the contract that was already agreed upon, it will be reevaluated when American and Airways are operating under one certificate. That should be late this spring or early summer. At that point, it will go up to 10% again. Now, the SSP is 48 per year, buy should go up to 120 per year.

Factor in attrition of 20 per month (but as a linear function, since most attrition occurs in the first 2 years), and try it again.

Don't forget to factor in the people who are staying. About the top 75 aren't going anywhere.

Does it say you must have 10% at this renegotiated flow meeting. Or just that you will meet. You are giving parker to much credit if you think he will negotiate in good faith.
