Is there any possible way to trick the system into getting a buddy pass on a vacation pass?

Talking about iPads, The captain mentioned EFBs would come online early next year.

Some new info that I learned is that after logging 100 hours on the line you can apply to become a ground instructor, which pays much more. You can also become a sim instuctor with them which pays 1st year Captain pay as an FO. They said they were short on these and having any of these things on the resume matters way more than the amount of hours in your belt when applying @ mainline.

The captain said 5-6 years to "flow" to American and that our class as of today could still expect an 18 month upgrade from DOH.

The Captain was very welcoming and friendly and kept asking us if we had any more questions - she said she has been with the company for 3 years and you could genuenly tell she loved being there.

What a great group of people, great experience...super stoked to be onboard.

Vacation passes can only be used for you, your parents and your wife/registered guest. Thinking about trying to trick the system? Maybe you should think again, unless you want your travel benefits revoked. By the way, travel passes and buddy passes don't work on American.

I look on Craigslist occasionally for good Aviation stuff. I find good Eastern and old US Airways stuff every once in awhile. I also see people selling buddy passes and their "registered companion" quite often. Some people sell their registered companion for a few thousand dollars every year.

I wish I could turn them in for this crap.

This is a lie, try 15+ years for anyone hired now and it's not a flow. It's a guaranteed interview. Some guys that wanted it have been turned down. Guaranteed interview doesn't mean guaranteed job.
