There's no way 1/2 the CLT guys will leave for ORD. Among all the CLT captains that are holding lines, no more than 20 would probably leave. Even less would switch to a new outstation base or New York. CLT has a lot of commuters, maybe half the pilots. But ORD would not make a better commute for 80% of the commuters. I've talked with some west coats commuters and most would take CLT over ORD. Does anyone know what a crew hotel near ORD or LGA cost? I don't, but I bet it's not cheaper than CLT.

It's the same system as Usairways. There are no upfront fees for registered companion, just imputed income which accounts for about 10% of what a normal ticket would cost. For example, if a normal ticket is $200, you will have $20 of imputed income show up on your pay stub. Spouses don't get hit with imputed income.

Any chance in using the "F" word and telling them you got a crap night sleep in this sh!t hole Sleep Inn because some hooker was turning tricks in the room next to you, therefore you can't fly today? If everyone did that maybe they wouldn't screw around with the hotels.
3 leg days, each with a new airplane. With a 2.5 hr sit at an outstations. 20 min swaps in Clt. Sure that's gonna work. Who in the world is working in the planning dept? There are two things that gets managements attention. Leaving late and not single engine taxing.
As long as flights leave on time they are happier than pigs in ...
