Any active employee and their spouse and/or kids all travel at the same priority level, regardless of whether the employee works at mainline or a subsidiary.

So basically if you are a PSA new hire check in first you will be ahead of a 30 year mainline guy on the standby priority.

 

Ok I see what you are saying there but what I meant is wholly owneds such as PSA and Envoy have a higher boarding class priority then non wholly owneds such as Republic or Mesa etc..

For example, active employees for mainline and wholly owneds travel with boarding priority D2 (American) and SD2E (Airways).

Non wholly owneds travel at the parents priority level D2P (American) and SD2P (Airways) which is actually a class below retirees.

 

Looks like another 27 FOs starting today.

So, at the risk of beating a dead horse here (thats pretty much this whole threads M.O.) has anyone heard if PSA is any closer to offering the CTP course in Indoc?

I hate to keep asking, but that is pretty much my last main step before I would be able to apply. Ive got all the hour requirements except Multi, which im wrapping up now, and I just know that as soon as I write that check for 5g's they're going to come with that benefit. I dont mind doing it, I just wish I could interview and possibly be offered the job, then I would gladly take the course. I hate to say that out loud, because Im sure they would rather you come in the door with that knocked out. I totally understand, but like a couple others, I thought I would fly the whirly birds for life and didnt take that dang written before the big regs went into effect.

Well, they are hiring 60 new pilots per month with relative ease so I don't see why they would want to go through the motions of adding such a course if its not needed. Some day they will likely have to in order to compete but for now there is no pilot applicant shortage at PSA, especially considering the number of Endeavor, GoJet, ExpressJet pilots that are jumping ship for the quick upgrade.

 

Yea, I guess its just more wishful thinking on my part. There was some scuttlebutt about it a few months back. Expressjet started it, but then again I guess they need to recruit a larger number of applicants than PSA. I guess I may just need to pony up and pay.
