Who cares. The regional game is ending, we should all be excited. I hope every one of these sh*tholes close up shop permanently, it can't happen fast enough.

You do the math why they're pushing that, but not making it public.

Just because most of the FO's don't meet the requirements does not preclude them from upgrading when they do obtain the hours assuming a bid becomes available. (At-least the more senior ones). You sound irrational and paranoid. And if, as you say, the union is trying to keep this hypothetical plan of yours under wraps, what do you think they will respond when inquired by their pilots?

It almost makes me feel dirty to agree with you, ever, but in this case I do.

How do they upgrade if the pilots go with the planes? Your MEC is begging for exactly that.... Wonder why? They obviously feel that stealing pilots with the planes is better than resorting to street captains. How does that work out for you guys?

You should go ask them. If I were a pilot there, I'd demand a copy of any letter your MEC may have written to national asking for exactly what I've described.

Can you explain how this would work? I work for envoy so how would they force me to work for PSA? That would be a living nightmare, lol.

Ok, lets play it out according to your blueprint: The 700's come over with pilots somehow, what's with the rest of the 900's you got anyone to fly those? Other than the indirect poaching that is already going on, I just don't see it. By the way, I am not saying that what you are forecasting will never happen, only that even if it does there are still 900's to staff and even your scenario cannot stop that.

I don't see it happening either, but their MEC is pushing the idea.

I am trying to figure out the agenda here... Cujo, are you worried about this 'pilots with the planes' maneuver, so you are trying to convince PSA FO's that they will not upgrade because of it? Seems to me, that your scenario should be criticized on its own merit (or lack thereof) nothing to do with disadvantageous effects on fo's. If you can convey that to me, I might even agree with you.

Yes, 26 more 900's to be delivered correct?

Not many more captains then the music stops except for normal attrition. It's roughly 140 CA slots right?
