Did you read the letter? It said the exact opposite of what you are telling me now. Please explain.

I'm not getting into an argument about how your pilot group undercut the entire airline industry. It has been talked about time and time again...I know, you know, we all know that you guys F'd up. But I would love for you to explain how "No one wants your pilots." Please do.

Why would AAG essentially merge two pilot groups with an ocean of bad blood between them? I'm no expert, but that just doesn't sound like a good idea.

I told you the facts of what is coming in. Do you think that the average line pilot likes this? Absolutely not! People come to PSA for many reasons. I came here because I wanted to stop commuting and for a fast upgrade. It worked really well for me, I am making good money (well...as good as can be expected), and I am home much more. I want all of the regionals to close, and for the flying to move back to mainline. I think that the pilots that sold scope for a couple bucks years ago are to blame for this.

Just because we have lots of lateral transfers coming in does not mean that we are happy about it. I was stating a fact that the new hire classes have an average composition of 5000 hours of prior experience.

I would be perfectly happy if the 700's stayed at Envoy, the pilots kept their jobs, and they flowed happily to the big silver mothership in Dallas.

This whole argument is stupid.

And we can beat this dead horse all day/night... You say we sold out the industry, we say we voted to save our jobs after having voted no twice. If you want to be mad, be mad at AAG for putting any of us in this position.

They don't want the pilots. They just want to threaten AAG with the idea that if the planes come over, then they should expect to pay the pilots the same as they are currently paying them. Thus, there is no benefit from shuffling the airplanes around. No benefit = no whipsaw.

We all know that they airplanes will come to PSA, be here for a few years, and then get shifted back to Envoy once it is cheaper there. This is an attempt to end this vicious cycle.
Lamest the excuse I've ever heard.

Go re-read the letter

Others who are much more informed than you, CLT, or I have read it and they think it is an attempt to "stop the whipsaw" by the PSA MEC. It won't work.

If you had any knowledge of how the system really works, ALPA National see's this as a way to stop the whip-saw and are excited about it! If they can push the issue on this, then when airplanes are moved from one company to another, they can force the airlines to accept the pilots to go as well. With pilots keeping their seniority for pay, there is no reason to move the airplanes. The end result is no whipsaw. PSA will be just fine if the 700's do not come over from Envoy. It is something that we didn't want from the start. Envoy's 700's were never part of anything that the pilots at PSA wanted. And, rest assured, we sure as heck don't want your pilots forced to come over here. That would be miserable for everyone.

You can talk all the crap that you want, but it looks like someone from PSA's MEC along with ALPA national did something that may benefit the entire regional industry for years to come.

My guess is that you are so upset because you didn't think of it. Read the other forums and talk to people that have real insight into how this industry works (not a line pilot) - this letter is being saluted as a potentially a HUGE step forward. Get your head out of the sand and see this for what it is!
So now PSA is deciding to stop the whipsaw? Where were you a year ago when you undermined the entire industry amidst intense negotiations?

Now when the situation looks bleak at PSA you guys want to attempt to finally STW?

Unbelievable.

I am on record saying that it is a stupid idea. I didn't come up with it. i understand the theory behind it, and I can explain it to you (because I think that you either missed the point or are trying to spin it for your propaganda).

The pilots at PSA do not support this letter AT ALL. Most are furious about it. The last thing that anyone wants to do is to poach other pilots like this. It is crap.

If you paid attention a little more often, you would see many more occurrences of it...such as the first two times that PSA voted no.
