I actually applaud you in that. It was a breath of fresh air to see and envoy and PSA pilot agreeing without petty name calling and what not. Wish every post from everyone could be that way.

Is it true that you are in long, drawn out arbitration with the company and they are not following the contract? Critical pay, for instance, and your whole trip-trading thing doesn't work as it is supposed to? Plus PSA breaks reserve rules and screwed over guys on reserve left and right?
lol, what's that, a company not following the contract? You don't say. You must be new to regionals. It's not all glamorous like on TV, we just suck the least out of all the others. And that's saying something!!

Those that think there are FO's bypassing upgrade simply to stick it to the company must be sniffing glue. The company has the contractual right to force upgrades, but they chose the less hostile route.

The DEC's are the result of a lack of eligible bidders. A month ago there were maybe 70 guys bypassing until they could hold a line, which for them isn't too far off and some of those are on the recent awards.

You guys try to act like the "good guys" but boy do you come a runnin when you smell blood.

There is a difference between some random poster stirring the pot, and an actual rep acting irresponsibly on a public web board (numerous times). You can try and excuse his actions as being done "in the name of the Envoy pilots", but the picture is clear to me- from the onset of the TA's, through his ridiculous accusations regarding the ALPA letter, and finally with attempts to funnel all applicants to the supposed "promised land" at Envoy, it is apparent that he is over excited and you guys should put him back on his leash. Admittedly, I might have got caught up in the theatrics as well, but it is time for people to utilize more pragmatic and balanced discussion here, imo you have already started that here PC, and should be commended for it.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there are currently first officers that are "holding the line" and not upgrading because the company refuses to uphold the reserve rules that PSA has. You are sabotaging their efforts.

I spend quite a bit of time on PSA's jump seats and talk to them about this. They all seem to say the same thing. Of the couple dozen crews I have flown with on my way to work or back home, no one said that they agreed with the DEC's being hired.

Expect to be treated as such by the people that you are working with.

Dang, now PSA pilots don't like PSA pilots

With all due respect to the daOldMan, I am going to have to call BS to your post.

As a current PSA FO flying the line, I can tell you that the FOs holding out for upgrade are holding out for QOL reasons. Simply not wanting to sit reserve. I have never heard/witnessed any negative attitudes/actions towards DEC Capts coming on board. Sure we don't like the idea, but the negative attitude is directed at the company for their lack of planning not the DEC new hire. In reality DEC means senior FOs upgrading won't have to sit reserve long.

Come on people this isn't high school, enough with the drama!
