I agree... Quite a few from my class have upgraded/are in upgrade right now, and several have left for greener pastures already. Lots of attrition from the FO side right now it would seem. There is some CA attrition, but many that I talk to seem content to wait for the SSP to reach them in a year or two's time. I've heard that the number of DECs applying is dwindling and that our FOs on property are mostly choosing to bypass upgrade. Therefore, the company doesn't want to lose any more CAs at this time than it has to. And even if the company increased the SSP two-fold, it still isn't that attractive impo. This industry is going to change so much by the time a person getting hired on now would even be eligible for it I think it is a moot point. Come to PSA for a quick upgrade for the next couple years. Come to PSA if one of our bases is an easy commute for you. Don't come here for the SSP. If you want to flow to American, go to Piedmont. If you want to upgrade quickly, and move on to something better more quickly, come to PSA. Simple as that.

As a potential recruit for PSA, CVG is turning me away. I know that theres never any guarantee in this career, but I was really holding out for the BNA base. At this point, I may end up going to Endeavor and make 20k more per year with the same commute. Im trying to decide if SAP is worth 20k. Currently Endeavor's training department is flowing good, with very little delay. And they have a SSP to Delta... am I off base here?
It sounds like domicile is high up on your list of must haves, if that's the case I would make domicile your priority.

Hard to answer your question as I have no idea what your long term career aspirations are. But I would say keep in mind plenty of Endeavor folks have jumped ship and came to psa.

I have a wife and 2 kids, so if I could live in base, that would be excellent, but currently im in a position where I cant relocate. At the moment, im trying to figure out which regional will give the best quality of life. I realize that I will be traveling and life will suck for a while. Ive come to terms with that. At this point, without living in base, ive got to decide which commute will be easier. There are at least 8 flights a day from Nashville to CLT, leaving me to believe that would be a decent commute, especially considering that most of them are PSA flights.
With Endeavor, they are based in Detroit and there are at least 8 flights a day there as well. Only 2-3 are company, the rest are mainline delta or skywest (i believe). With the Endeavor bonus deal, that brings my pay up, where PSA Commute plus SAP, may have a better QOL. I think both will have decent upgrade times, although, I still think PSA may be better in that regard, considering growth rates. Pay, obviously better at Endeavor. Im almost certain im going to shoot for PSA, still just crunching these numbers and praying about it.

Everyone gets dumped in DAY on the first award, then TYS for a month or two, then finally CLT. Depending on how long training takes you probably won't ever have to sit in DAY and will be TYS based by the time you finish IOE. If you're lucky you'll only have a couple of weeks there before being based in CLT. This is all based on past trends, which may be skewed now that new hire classes have been temporarily halted, and it's very hard to predict how things will go when they restart, and how much they've been able to shorten the gaps in training.
