AA needs the seats on their mainline airplanes full of customers. The only way to do this is to have a reliable regional to bring the customers to the bigger airplanes. PSA is their new main go-to regional. They are building it from a small 400 pilot group to a large and successful company.

Per the contract, they have to. It was already negotiated and will increase once US Airways and American are operating under 1 certificate. This was part of the benefit of the contract that the pilots already signed. There used to be ~480 pilots, thus 4 pilots per month, 48 per year. By the time the two companies are operating under one certificate, the staffing level should be near 1200, thus ~140 pilots per year.
The "flow" will increase to 10% of the pilot population.
AA wants it as well. Right now, the quick upgrade is what is keeping the classes full. This flow will keep the machine working and the upgrades/movement to the majors steady. They need these staffed filled to keep the seats on the mainline airplanes full. The President of PSA was a former executive at US Airways that was previously in charge of ALL of the regionals flying for US Airways. Think about what means to AA and PSA.

No problem. Feel free to add anything, or correct me if you think that I was wrong about any details.
I know that many people in the industry think that PSA took a substandard contract for more airplanes. As time moves forward, more and more people are realizing that PSA's contract was actually pretty darn good for the pilots. The SAP is great and working well. The "flow" is also working exactly as designed, and 48 pilots went to AA this year. The 12/4 won't be an issue because there is absolutely no reason that anyone should be here that long. With 10% moving on each year, the goal is to never get past the 11th year in the worst case scenario.
Every company has it's good parts and bad parts. I started posting on here because I was sick of people making up things about the company that were not true in order to make themselves feel better.

Your SAP was a lucky break that management has tolerated. They are already working to neuter the critical pay mistake.
As far as "Flow" - it is not a true flow. It is just a guaranteed interview that 4 people a month will be taken from. In other words, they don't have to take you. Maybe they have taken the majority, but tell the few that have not made it that there is no difference.
And you say 12/4 means nothing?....come on! Are you really so obtuse as to believe management would want something so badly, that means nothing? Wake up kiddo!
Keep on bending the truth.
I have still been doing a lot of DAY and ORF overnights and I have to say, your new hires are looking worse every month. Karma is a ***** and it is steaming your way.

The rest of the industry doesn't "think" anything. Quit trying to polish your turd; the FACT is that PSA took a concessionary contract for airplanes weeks after a fellow ALPA carrier said no and held the line. There is no escaping what you are: modern day scabs, and the rest of the industry knows it.

Looking worse? Are they fat? Tall? Short? Ugly? What's wrong with them?
