Agreed... Republic FO's got nothing following IBT's rejection of the FO pay LOA a couple years ago besides a loss of airframes, 2 more years of s#it pay. You've got to grab the cash when it's there. Huge difference between living on $32000 and $70-$100000.

Just think if Republic hadn't been trying to stay cheap and had raised pay to $40hr 2 years ago then they probably wouldn't be in bankruptcy today.
Endeavor has been giving 20-23k per year to every pilot on property for over a year now and I don't see them losing more pilots than they can hire.
AAG seems to think this flow is some kind of golden ticket that we are all fighting to get when its not. Its like a life preserver at a kiddie pool, sure it's nice that it's there, but we're pretty sure we won't need it.

This is just the opening salvo. Years 2+ of longevity we still fall way behind our peers, so the bonus will lose it's attractiveness pretty quickly and another round of "negotiations" will take place.

How many times in your career have you seen improvements like the ones you just saw? You have no idea what you think you are doing.

How about the 10 or so regionals that ALL got pay raises (and not just for FOs) within the past 2 years. A retention bonus is a band aid, not a permanent fix. We need a permanent fix.

Never, and thats the point. Theres never been a staffing issues of this magnitude during my career. This is the first time airline management has had to really struggle to fill seats. Why would we accept their first lowball offer?
