The seniority list is back up. Not sure how accurate it is. Some of the old names have to remain due to the flow contract in case they don't pass training. Most of our attrition has been off the bottom. There's been JrManning but I don't know the extent.

4 alarm dumpster fire. Who knows if downgrades, a merger or shutdown are coming. Somethings got to give but I think DP and DF are too arrogant to admit they screwed up and will gladly watch this place shutdown before they cough up a penny more or abide by the contract. DF will get some BS job at AA.

Yall need to r-e-l-a-x. Seriously. This isn't a 4 alarm dumpster fire yet. Good grief. This unnecessary stress will kill you. What will be will be, if you're this worried then you need to write your representation, but for the love of God the sky is not falling.

Dude I know just got the endeavor interview also. He said things aren't looking up after a year at PSA so he's going to a place with a good contract where he can make 50k .

Deferred/slowed down are one in the same. I'm not spinning diddly I just choose not to live my life like chicken little. It has to get worse before it gets better. That's why Endeavor has what they have. If you want that right now then by all means they will take you. We are properly staffed for our airplanes until summer there's no arguing that. The problem lies with the 14 hour 4 day trips that pagey alluded to and hot reserves being burned for one leg overnights; which is why we are junior manning. I do not agree with the company not stock piling first officers while hiring DECs, but they did and our union did not stop them. I'm not spinning anything the same way I'm not currently advising people come here over other places, but I'm also not telling people to stay away if this is where they want to be.

It shouldn't need to get worse before it gets better, republic is a great example of what happens when you wait too long. Yes Endeavor did get bad before they figured out they needed to change. So why do D&D want to sit around and make the same mistakes those airlines made? Do they think they are somehow immune to whats going on in the industry?
Obviously we are not properly staffed for the summer otherwise we wouldn't be deferring deliveries that were already planned and should have already been staffed for, and we wouldn't be junior manning and calling LCAs to cover flights.
I agree we are somewhat over staffed on captains, which only makes the upgrade that much longer for the FOs already on property.

Why must we sit here and wait for PSA to reach rock bottom before we see the improvements that everyone (except D&D apparently) know they need to make?

Because that's how big business, and especially airlines, work. Reactive not proactive.

Not stressed at all. There's a pilot shortage. I can get hired anywhere else for more money. I need to stick around until my son is born and I'm on the cusp of upgrade, unless they stick to 4 every other month. This place has fallen apart in the last 4 months. The industry doesn't allow for the slow reactionary way of business any more. Even if things are turned around overnight, it's too late for summer flying. We might see the effects by next winter. We are shrinking and will probably soon watch our 900s go somewhere else like Mesa because they have pilots. 4 alarm dumpster fire. But it's okay, we are in short supply. PSA can/will fall apart and I won't be stressed about it at all. I don't expect D&D to make the necessary changes.

Because you are not a person to PSA, you are a cog wheel. You'll simply do as they say when they say to do it without causing a stir, they're agile that way.

Once you accept that then you'll understand why airlines do what they do and probably sleep better at night.

There's no motivation for regional airlines to do anything logical when there is no resistance from pilots. Pilots will simply roll over and take it no questions asked, just a little forum whining is as far as it goes.

Exactly, this isn't even in the same ballpark as the 2008 downturn with real furloughs, downgrades, and companies dissapearing but some of our pilots are acting like it. Same your fear for the next recession. We are staffed for our flying for the rest of the year and AA won't be taking flows this summer and maybe not even until December.

So leave for the DEC at Gojets if you don't think this place is going to make it. Seriously it would be double the pay with 300% open time.
