First Officer pay needs to improve. In fact it needs to increase to a family supporting wage, since it seems DP and gang want to make the WO's the entry point for mainline.

They tell you that the regionals are not meant to be a career position, while at the same time they try to keep you there as long as possible by saying you have a quick path to get out.

They will. They are dragging their feet and being retroactive, yes. But it is clearly a pilot's market and will improve. Patience is the most difficult thing but one of the most highly rewarded. Many of the guys that left Endeavor are probably looking back saying "look what I missed." But their train will creep to a crawl soon too. There simply aren't enough pilots to continue the regional merry-go-round much longer.

What are the travel benefits like for parents? Do they fly free on AA carriers? Also, is there any speculation that their outstation bases could be closed in favor of more commutable locations? I'm interested in Knoxville and Charlotte.

You can list 2 parents. They travel for free on AA. There have rumors for years of closing Knoxville. Could it happen? Sure. How likely? No one knows. CLT is the only hub base we have.

Parents and parents-in-law
You may register any combination of two parents
on your travel profile, and you may choose from
your mother, father, stepparent or parent-in-law
(parents of your spouse or DP). Parents need to
remain on your traveler list for a minimum of 12
months prior to deletion or replacement.

Parent travel on American and American Eagle
flights is subject to a service charge in addition to
applicable segment taxes and fees. Your parents are
eligible for travel on most other airlines; however,
parents-in-law and parents of DPs are not eligible
for travel on other airlines.

Thanks 1stCivDivPilot and Foumanchu. Do you know where I can get more information on potential travel on other airlines as well? Is there a manual online somewhere that has all the specific information? Thank you!

Thanks. I forgot about the fees for parents. They are still doing the payroll deduction for those fees correct?
