So new memo...-16 in reserves qualifies as "critical". If you have vacation and If you want to pick it up you can email the scheduling supervisors.

Um....No thank you.

I especially liked how they haven't declared anything officially critical... more of a "hey guys, pick up some stuff and you might get paid critical pay for it... pretty please"

I've started sapping down to about 70 or less going forward. More time at home and I'll just pick up extra hours at my other job. Maybe if they improve pay I'll fly more.

The poster never proposed a job action. He merely stated his opinion that since the company feels PSA pilots are only worth the lowest pay and worst contract in the industry that he doesn't understand why we should work on our days off to help. There was no suggestion of any action, only the opinion that we do the same thing we always do which is enjoy our scheduled days off.

More pilots are picking up open time than ever. Reserve pilots, sims instructors, FOs and CAs are picking up lots open time. As days go critical, I'd expect more pilots to pick up and take junior mans. The company is really junior and junior pilots are more likely to pick up opentime.

The email and the days time stamped critical on the reserve grid are what the company considers critical. A lot more additional days will go critical by months end on the FO side due to junior manning.

Not a work action counselor. He is giving a hypothetical personal account. Work action must show intent to engage a body or group of participants to act subversive yadda yadda.

The company doesn't feel that. The pilots do. They voted it in to stab the hearts of Eagle or at least clip their wings. So I don't see what all the fuss is about.
