I bet you're one of the same guys on our FB preaching SAP down to 65-75 to hurt the company.

When you talk to this "God" of yours can you ask why God even created regional airlines in the first place? Also, is it okay for us to eat shellfish now?

Well my bad then. Still advocating that some how should have to choose between only having 6 days off and money is in poor form. We all know we can work more and make more and have less free time. But tell their kids sorry your daddy can't see you and buy you food.

Time vs money is a decision factor in almost everything. Why even take the job in the first place if it doesn't feed your kids? Especially when other companies are paying twice as much for the same work. Any FO that is having serious financial difficulties should go to Endeavor or Commutair immediately, even XJT and SKW give bonuses for CRJ typed pilots.

Maybe they live in base. Maybe they don't want to go back to reserve and see their family's less. We should not be scaring away the pilots we need. It benefits no one on property by losing pilots. Our answer should not be go else where it's better. Our answer should be its not good enough here but we're trying to make it better. Yesterday we said we only care about our generation of pilots and nothing below us. The fact that we said no to money for our poorest pilots isn't the worst part. The worst part is every one telling them they don't deserve it. That they should work more. That they haven't suffered like so and so did. Say no for your own reasons but don't get ****ed at the guys who lost out for being upset.

(and have you seen the age of the new hires in the last year, I bet the class average age is 35+).

If someone is drowning, I am going to grab the first thing that I can find that floats and throw it to them, and then try to find something better. Be it a basketball or a CRJ200 seat cushion. Your argument is that the drowning person should not get the first thing that floats that may save their lives, they should hold out for a shiny, brand new life jacket. All that person wants is something to help them until they are able to help themselves. And you are denying it. You would rather that they drown than to accept less than something perfect.

Try looking at it objectively.

There is a pilot shortage and first year FO pay sucks. It just changed. They just got a $10k pay raise, and it was taken away by the captains that they are flying with because they wanted to make more as well.
I wasn't asked about this nor did I have a clue there were negotiations going on because the last we heard there were none. Be careful with your generalizations. Last I checked this wasn't put out to a vote. Tell me how the hell the Captains threw a "brat attack" when nobody knew this &^$% was even going down.

The unions provide a base level of protection and services within this industry. Other than that pilots are basically on there own within there respective seniority standing within each group. Each relative seniority peer group will compete for items within a TA or contract which benefits them the most. These groups or individuals will rationalize there points of view to fit their particular situation. That's the way it is, and that's the way it will always be. Pilots at the bottom of the list want everything, and pilots at the top of list want everything. And you will want everything at every point of the list you are on at the expense of all the other people you work with.
