CAs did throw fits actually. On the FB page and they blew up union members telling them to say no. I'm on the fence on this decision. The FOs absolutely needed this and the captains turned it down. Yet that awful flow LOA the captains pushed for super hard cause they now don't have to keep up with their logbooks and actually prepare for an interview, and it was a horrible deal for FOs. So it's pot meet kettle here. I agree that this bonus is not a correct fix, and we should get high pay rates and QOL enhancements instead. That being said, I am very disappointed in how the Captains are acting on this matter, especially after their push on that flow.

Let's not forget the burden of the flow agreement was put on FO's with displacement.
So why do we have captains out recruiting for this place? Why is a a mid 750ish guy making videos of how flexible his schedual is when he is a reserve captain that will be their forever.
BTW - I received voicemails for jr man the 2nd and the 3rd of March.

What burden are you talking about? FOs have always been displaced, the latest LOA did not change that. Company grows, more IOE training takes place and FOs get displaced. Growth is good, and FO displacements are a result of that. Do you want to end growth and shrink so you don't get displaced?

Those guys were paid by the company to make the videos. The recruiters believe traveling to job fairs selling PSA to others will lead to networking connections with other airlines. I would never become a recruiter but it's not hard to understand why people do it and I can respect someone trying to further their career through networking. Some recruiters were hired at United recently, maybe the networking paid off for them?

Of course we want movement but 1 seniority number a month doesn't mean any thing to new FOs. That vote was solely beneficial to senior CAs. The FOs realized it didn't hurt them at all though so why would we also not say yes to it and help others out. Have patience for our the negotiating process? Last I checked we are hoping for the company to come back to negotiate but as of now we are not negotiating any thing.

Yep. I have heard that they were calling out LCA to fly in the right seat. Looks like management already waited to long to offer even a terrible solution.
Senior FOs should be happy about this. If the company downgrades, the first people to downgrade will be DECs and then if the company ever upgrades again the senior FOs will upgrade ahead of the DECs. Of course as a DEC if I am downgraded I will also be resigning so it doesn't really help the company. As I've mentioned I can't understand why any FO works here and I certainly will never work here as an FO.
Looks like Dion went to the Republic school of airline management. Too little too late.

You think that because you are the captain of a regional jet at one of the lowest paid regionals that you are special? Ha.

Let me try to look at this another way. Say the company returns to offer more. What do we say yes to? If they offer $20K to every one on property do we say yes? Do we say no and fight for contract improvements? If people are giving up money for the good of all pilots thats fine but let us know what we're giving it up for. So with this is mind tell me if you were our ALPA rep not only what would make you say yes but also why we should get that particular improvement.
First fix critical pay
Pay scales
4hr min day with no carve outs, including reserves call outs.
Commuter hotels
Cancellation pay and reschedules only allowed within the footprint of the original trip. I.e. Don't cancel my 1400 report and reschedule me for 0500.
This is just a start. These changes plus 20k puts us almost up to Endeavor level.
PSA can make these changes or they can just admit that AAG wants 3 Gojets and we can all start looking for better jobs.
