Honestly some of you make this place sound completely awful. It has its downsides no doubt, but everything they promised me would happen in the interview has happened. Our contract isn't one of the worst by any means, our pay is. There is a difference. There won't be a need for downgrades because natural attrition will take care of any over-staffing that we currently have. And we are still taking deliveries of the remaining 900s. I mean seriously, some of you post stuff on here with zero logic behind it.

So a contract that is being violated does have any validation, just pay? It's low pay compared to industry peers already, and not following the contract and having crap in the contract that is substandard makes it that much worse.

And the same thing happens at every other regional too. Doesn't make it right, just the way it is. For some to sit around saying that our contract is the worst is disingenuous at best.

Fully agree with this statement. I had been on a small hiatus from this forum for exactly this reason. Its terrible it get on here and all it is, is whining about how awful it is. And while we may not have RJETs contract, ours isn't Mesa's. Things are not perfect (at all) but they are't terrible. There is still growth, and a good bit of it. There is a lot of movement on the FO side. Upgrades have slowed/stopped for now, but that won't last long. I've been noticing the reserve grid on the captain side finally shrinking. We've been adding like 10-15 lines a month on the CA side in the first round. I would imagine its the same on the FO side.

It is what you make, stay informed. Follow the contract. Don't let the company abuse it and be positive. Being miserable about everything has to be an awful way to live.

That's about the best thing that can be said about your contract, that it's not Mesa's.

There is no opportunity. Except to work for the lowest pay under the worst contract.
I could go on and on...

Critical pay is a big one in arbitration now. The reserve grid is constantly manipulated to prevent any day from going critical and avoiding paying the premium.

Additionally there have been numerous cases with scheduling requiring pilots to fly in direct violation of the contract such as ready rsv after completing a trip.
