Saying "we were only protecting our jobs" is a reason everyone could use so why did you guys say yes since you are giving Eagle so much Sh!t about a contract while AMR was in Bankruptcy.
I don't know, I wasn't there. Every time a contract airline does something foolish like this, it only makes pilots existence in said circumstance longer and more painful. Why anyone would fight to do things to help enable their regional/contract airline to be bigger or stronger is beyond me, you're just increasing your stay there longer.

I don't understand why pilots struggle to see this. Alpa fights to prolong this pain and suffering, its the wrong objective.

The only correct answer is this "experiment" with regional airlines simply ends. That can only happen when mainline sees there is no financial benefit to keeping the regional feed.

There's a lot of book smart people who go through the arduous process of becoming an airline pilot. Yet they cannot see what is right in front of their faces, what is in their own best LONG TERM interests. An extra year at a mainline airline is probably worth a 1/4 mil easily. The job you are doing today represents 50% of all airline flying in the United States, but you are getting nothing for it.

Think about these things the next time you receive your weekly email from Alpa advertising "FFD Interview Workshop". Alpa is not on your side at the regional level. Now its an entirely different thing if you say to yourself "Well alpa is screwing me now, but once I get out of here I'll reap the benefits of what they did to me". If you are ok with that then fine.

Alpa, and those associated with them in any way, is your biggest enemy. I hope you someday see it.

Please tell us all what ALPA has to do with mainline hiring.

Then tell us why you think ALPA would rather have lots of regional pilots, you know, those pilots that don't make any money and therefore don't pay as much in dues. After that you can tell us all about how much ALPA spends on regional MEC budgets compared to how much they collect in dues.

You're free to start that recall and / or decertification drive any time you want. Until then, you're just a troll.

Learn how to fly. Regional pilots think they know a lot but I am not impressed with the 121 goldin guys. If the world knew how much you over inflate your ability they would not want any of you.

Big world out there.

The regional is a training program. You think flying a heavy is the same or even a 737 or Airbus 318. The RJ is the same at all regionals. We make Very little that's how it is. Regional jets are never going to pay well.

What all you holier than thou types continually fail to realize is that ALL FFD carriers exist solely to pay pilots (and all the other employees) less money.

But keep enjoying your soapbox.

Apparently you neglected to read my last post. And while you're at it educate yourself on scope choke.

Bottom line: your assertions aren't supported by logic.

This site would be a lot different if people were required to verify who they actually are and work for. But that'll never happen so trolollolollol.

Now we have pilots like Wakewash saying stupid sh|t like

" The union is now new people who don't carry the ideals of the old guys."

He still thinks the path forward is a bigger and stronger regional feed system instead of a shrinking and dying one where the flying is reabsorbed into mainline and the B scale dies the death it deserves.

You guys better wake the F up. If you think things like "Fee for departure Interview classes" put on by your so called union are good things, you are the problem.
You PSA guys dug your own graves by signing that concessionary deal. That put Envoy in a bad situation for a while but we recovered and AA realized our value. Your are obviously jealous that WE are being positioned as the premiere national carrier for American Airlines. Everything we have over here is far superior to anything you PSA types have. We have the best flow, best contract and very soon our upgrades are going to be in the 2.5 year range. It's my understanding you can't even upgrade anymore due to the mass exodus of pilots from your lowball company.
