I would like to believe that when we agreed to this change initially that we didn't agree with the intention to turn line holders into reserves. This was not the intention. We thought it would be better. Funny how when they fought the critical dispute, they said we were using critical coverage outside of the original intention. Why is that an excuse for them but not for us line holding fo's who never intended on being loop holed into reserve now?

Which is how it always was......So tell me again what was given up.

Guess they should go back and block the IOE CA lines from FOs being able to bid them. Seems some don't understand how it was an improvement.... There's how many IOE CK now at PSA? That's a lot of FOs to miss blocks and sit hot reserve for scheduling..... Maybe they'd prefer that ?

So sick of hearing CAs whine and complain because "when they were FOs they had long reserve and even worse pay." Same thing as hearing your dad or grandfather, "well back in my day..." Times are different. It's not FOs fault. CAs overwhelmingly voted in the worst flow possibly, all because the majority didn't wanna update logbooks or do an interview that you basically we're gonna get through with no issues. Everyone knew that garbage flow LOA benefited only senior pilots. But now something benefits FOs on property, who btw are making less than new hire FOs, and CAs are throwing a fit about it. Pot meet kettle.

Most the CAs are less than 4 yrs in the company. It's called entitlement...

You whining about how terrible your life is is the same thing as us saying "back in my day".

How's the SAP? When was the last time you worked a holiday? how about a weekend? Kid's birthday? When was the last time you had only 10 days off? How long were you on reserve for? Ever sit hot reserve for 10 hours? Ever done it for no pay?

A few more months and this place would've been in serious trouble. A few months is a long time though right? About how long you were on reserve for.

Have times changed? Sure. It won't stop me from rolling my eyes every once in a while.

I've never complained about my living or anything. I'll be the very first one to tell you that I've been ridiculously fortunate in my aviation career thus far. But while those times have changed, inflation has increased, school costs have gone up, plane rentals way up from the $35 most people back in the day saw. How much have FO wages increased? Not nearly enough to balance everything else. So to be fair, today's FOs are a lot more underwater than you guys were. I'll gladly take years of Reserve over the financial burden, but that's not what was presented to me. So I take what I can and just keep going. But we are all really lucky with how things have been for us. My point is just this is the exact same concept as the flow argument between CAs and FOs. Just the side have flipped on who's benefitting now. Again, major pot meet kettle.
