Mental retardation is the key for your reasoning. Please stay where you belong which is Envoy forum. We don't need your lectures here, we are doing fine. I suspect a jealousy on your part and that leads you and your friends at Envoy to come here to throw same all same mud.
I get it, if you picked somewhere based on where you live or a specific reason (like DEC or bonus money or flow) fine. But just going somewhere just because and complaining about how you are being treated was a super poor choice on your part.
But also if you went somewhere and the music stopped that is also on you. Most all new pilots coming to their first regional have had enough time to do enough research to see what everyone's pluses and minuses are before interviewing and starting Indoc.
I see my reasoning as just fine.
BTW (I love my german car and I support/appreciate my german heritage.)

Generous math here.......
20,000 X 1000 FOs = 20 mil over 2 years so......... nickels.
The new hire bonus in pennies as we haven't hired that many and most aren't prior 121.
There's a reason we have not seen serious hiring with this "bonus." You can still make $10k+ more a year other places and some of those places do it without a bonus that can get turned off on a whim.
I'll gladly take their money but this 10k a year isn't going to keep some of us from going to Endeavor. It definitely won't keep people from going to Frontier or Spirit.

The cost of the retention bonus is far lower than the cost of even a $10/hr raise for our 1150 pilots. That's not even being the best pay out there among our competitors. I'm not saying we should be the best pay out there for a regional, but not being bottom level is crucial for growth. In an earlier post I stated that the bonus was nickels and dimes. Perhaps I should have said the bonus is nickels and dimes compared to what it would actually take to bring pay up comparable to competition for new hires.

I keep hearing people say that we got a bonus for nothing in return. The bonus is a recruiting and retention tool, nothing more. Management wanted the bonus, not us. Therefore, we gave them a recruiting tool for nothing in return. I'm not sure how aligning ourselves and giving them more small reasons to sell this place to new hires will help us negotiate in June. In fact, I think this hurts us overall because they probably will be able to squeak in a few more new hires and continue to act like major changes to pay and flow are not needed.

It may squeak in a couple more who were on the fence because of domicile/QOL, etc. but we will not see the numbers they need. Hell, I'm thinking of giving up my seniority, which was a complete gift, to go to Endeavor. The extra 10k will offset commuting and I will get away from AA management. I'll be reevaluating this fall after my son is born.
I'm done with lateral moves. I'm sure endeavor has different problems of their own too.

Edit: Atlas too depending on how this strike vote/arbitration plays out. I have no idea what their grievance is, I just see that something is going on.
