I haven't seen any email to that affect but if the company decides to unilaterally abrogate our contract and pay SOME pilots outside of the contact, I predict a sharp decrease in on-time performance, a sharp rise in untimely maintenance write-ups, and a lot fewer single-engine taxies.

And duty time extensions???? Forget it! Not even if it helps me and my crew to get home! I'd rather cancel the flight, stick the company with 4 more hotel rooms, and get us all some junior man pay the next day.

And other concessions from the company from what I hear. A bunch of good stuff.

I guess Envoy should have held out and asked for more, rather than taking it. I am sure it will be PSA's fault that it went down this way.

Just an email saying mec took the offer. No details really except the 250/mo for in base hotels for commuters. Would like to see what we gave too.

It does make me wonder what changed the MECs mind? And it also makes me wonder what the company has up it's sleeve to make it want to push these retention bonuses so hard despite the fact that we are apparently "hiring for attrition"? Perhaps some bad news is also on the way? I see this as a way to keep FOs from making lateral moves, but not to keep FOs from moving on to something better. It will however lift morale quite a bit I think.

I think it's more of a strategic move. Now when they meet to discuss the flow program in June the company can't just offer this same package that would have been on the table for three months by then. Now in order to avoid offering nothing there's some small hope for more improvements, since I really don't see them increasing flow numbers right now.

It's not lifting *MY* morale. We just got sold-out by our own MEC. Again! And I thought this guy was going to be different.

How?

Really?

Everyone on property just got $3000 in the form of commuter hotels.

The Captain pay was never an issue, and is on par with just about every other regional. The FO pay was what needed to be fixed.

The company does not need to/want to retain Captains. They only want to/need to retain FO's.
